The stockyard station is Texas to a T! You can have BBQ dinners or watch a cattle drive all in what use to be a cattle yard durning the hay day of Fort Worth. There are resturants and many shops where you can buy Texas related items or western wear. It is a great place to take visitors from out of town or for a fun day with the kids. You can even ride the train from Grapevine to Fort Worth - it comes right down into the middle of the Stockyards! more

Must See Texas Attraction 10/26/2005

Everyone who visits me is taken to the Stockyards. Everyone I have taken is amazed and thrilled to have the experience.The stockyards have stayed pretty true to the era when they were built and provide you with a step back in time. Not only are there little shops and places to eat, but what with the "cattle drive" you get a history lesson to boot! There is always a special event, rodeo, or celebration going on so call ahead and plan to visit during one of those times for an extra dose of fun. more

Great day of fun 9/29/2005

Where else can you see a cattle drive, a train pull in and old fashion cowboys all in the middle of an old cattle yard! This is a great place to experience old time Texas and Fort Worth. The streets are still cobblestone and twice a day there is a cattle drive. There are stores up and down the area where the train comes in and there are quite a few restaurants. There is a maze and you can even ride a mechanical bull. You can spend a whole day wondering the stores and area! more

Great family fun! 8/25/2005

The stockyard station is a great place to take visitors that want to see the "old texas". It is rustic and has a great feel to what it must have been like in the old days of the stockyards. There is a cattle drive and the train comes through the station a couple of times a day. Risky's is a great place to sit and see all that goes on and to grab a bite to eat before you shop all the little store and shops! Great time for little kids and adults! more

Great entertainment 8/19/2005

This is a great place to go on the weekends. Whether your out with your friends or if you are out on a date. There is tons of stuff to do at the stockyards station. A lot of restaurants with great food. Can get really crowded on the weekends but you'll have tons of fun. more

Cowboys and Rodeo 8/4/2005

I have lived in Texas for 2.5 years. Stockyards Station is the place that match my imagination of Texas. Old historical buildings, steam railway station, rodeo drive (2 times a day), rodeo shows, cowboys museum and statues. It's really a great place for photo and cowboy atmosphere. My friends got bored on the train though. more

great day trip 8/2/2005

This is a great place to go for a day trip to shop and have lunch. Every year me and my friends went here for the day and had a blast. Their are tons of shops to look through and quite a few restaurants to choose from. Their are some great picture taking opportunities here too. We always came back with a few trinkets and some great fudge. more

Choo Choo All aborad the Tarantula express 7/27/2005

Have you ever been on a real steam engine? Well here at the stock yards you have your chance. You can ride this beautiful old steam engine around to the trinity river or to grapevine texas. All staff is pleasant and it is a nice ride. Tickets are fair value... But...... the train is rarely on time! Snacks can be purchased on the trains and photos too. This is a great way to experiene fort worth. The station also boast a wide array of shops including a winery. You can also see a gun show. Great fun for the whole family. I forgot to mention the longhorn drive trhough the main st. more
