Best

I know the people at Southside and have done business with them. I have no complaints and have been treated fairly and professionally. As DGSS suggests, go find out for yourself.

Editorial review from Citysearch 4/18/2013

I've been attending SA off-and-on for the past 6 months and have had no problems...until tonight. I was there to buy some sports cards. When the time came, I bid on the 4 boxes of cards being advertised and won. I noticed the assistant picked up 4 different boxes and took them to the back. I knew that there had been a mistake. I immediately went to the back to confirm I was receiving what I had seen and heard was being sold; it was not. Instead, it was 1 box of hockey action figures, 1 box of sport magazines and 2 boxes of cards (which were not the ones being displayed during the bidding). I voiced my objection to the guy who took the boxes to the back; he told me that I should pay attention to what was being sold and that I was welcome to sit in the front row. I explained that the boxes he had taken to the back were not the ones that were being auctioned during my bidding. He once again told me I could sit in the front to avoid confusion. \r \r I went to the front and complained to the lady who was working behind the desk. She went back to the guy who I previously spoke to. He announced to the auctioneer that there was a guy (me) who didn't want to purchase the cards because I didn't get the cards I wanted. The auctioneer proceeded to try and belittle me, until I spoke up and told him that I didn't get the item he had sold. He blamed me for not paying attention; however, the opposite is true. That is why I complained in the first place; I was paying attention and called Southside Auction on an attempted bait-and-switch. \r \r The item went back for auction. more

Please Disregard the Negative Review -- Southside is Great! 5/17/2010

Please disregard the negative reviews by the two insane people who left them. The two individuals who have repeatedly harrassed us on Citysearch and Google are Renee & Christian Thomas. They acted like a couple of wacked out meth heads (possibly are) during and after the auction they reference. They refused to leave private property until we called the police plus they harrassed and threatened our staff and customers. Just disregard these nutty comments....they are as nutty as their authors. If you really want to know what our company is all about, just stop by on one of our sale nights and see things for yourself. We are an honest company, family owned and operated. We've been in business for over 50 years....Renee and Christian Thomas need to attend more auctions before they make more accusations. Pros: Family Business, Well Established, Honest, Dependable more

Nepotism and Underhanded Sellers? 8/20/2009

This is the worst auction house that I have ever seen. Not only are they all related but they let the relatives buy items without having to hold a number or speak aloud a bid. They did this to us tonight when we wanted bid on a metal sculpture. The auctioneer opened at 30 and went down to 25...he said 25 a few times and everybody including us thought this was the start price of the auction. Not more than 5 seconds later he closed the auction saying the auction was closed and someone had won. A short time later the person I was with went to talk to one of the employees ((Danny ) and the man told him he in fact had won it.We could not understand how ..he had no number and never uttered a word.He later admitted to having his back against the other bidders and winking at Bud so no one could see his actions. This was very bad form for an auction house and was done so no one could counter bid..This man then said we could have the item for 300-400 dollars when he underhandedly bought it for 25 dollars. We then complained to the English lady (Claire) that works in the office and she became irate..we later learned this was her husband. The blonde lady in the office bid on a lamp and actually signaled Bud by waving her arms and last week another employee bid on a few things and actually talked and said ""I bid"" or ""I want it"". What happened tonight was dirty, underhanded nepotism. To sell something to an employee..especially a family member..with out letting anyone know some one bid so you can counter bid was WRONG! This is the worst auction house ever and I encourage you to never visit them. Also..the fact that they are related and cover up for each others underhandedness is totally repugnant. We intend to write the Tulsa Times, Tulsa Weekly and report him to the Better B Bureau. As you will read in the other review he threatened us physically and this man should not be in business.
