Good food. Most people would say it would be for families, but make sure you sit next to a family, when I went there, we got stuck next to a bachelors party...that should say enough. But they have great food, if you go on a weekend get there early, sometimes it can be a long wait.\r more

One of the best restaurants. This is a restaurant you come back to time and time again. Good food, service, with little private dining area on the side of the dining area. Note the children servings are on the older serving size. It is a nice place inside. more

HI this is Jessica. Iam from Lenexa. Last weekend I visited kansas city to meet my cousin.She took me to the Ruchi Indian Cusine Overland Park, Kansas. I had pleasent feeling as soon as I entered the restaurent.There was good indian music. The management received very politely. I had a good dinner with Garlic Naan and chicken Tikka Masala. The taste was wonderful and I enjoyed eating the food. It is a good place to taste Indian dishes for a new person like me. more

I have been thrice, and in the first two happened to be on Ugadhi day (2008)Lunch and dinner and recent on May-15-2008, as I'm a travelling consultant from NJ visited based on some one recommended. The quality of food and the quality of staff and attitude is very below standard. Water is warm, and they did not have ice in the water glasses or pitchers. The temperature of the restaurant was also overly warm and was sweating though out my stay inside the restaurant and felt in A/C once I stepped out, when talked with the owner of the establishment he talked and acted in a very crazy way and finding excuses for everyhting. As I have visited along 2 (two) of my colleagues they expressed thier concern on the temperature sensitive food items. Looks like waiters don't know english or they pretend have no clue. They serve the food and donot let us know what items they have served and we need to fish out which order belongs to who and what they have served. Immedeatly after placing order, I have spoken to a person in Telugu letting him know in advance not to repeat the same bad experience what I had ealier and he acted as if he is taken care, and all my collaegues laughed at me for bringing into a restaurant which has no standards. If they need money there are means to raise, not this way.\r ** I recommend not to dine in this place, waste of money, does not deserve any stars or ratings. I give my personal opinion. I do not say it is not good but I feel anybody who goes to Ruchi should try Paradise India. Their food is awsome, service is great. I talked to the owner who is highly educated and a very health cautious person . He explained how they cooked the food and the oils they used. No doubt I felt I ate food at home. Very less greasy. I have been going to Ruchi on and off since 2003 (Mostly off lately). The quality of food and the quality of staff and attitude has steadily decreased. The last time I was there (several months ago) I might as well have been non-existent. They are increasingly catering to only a few loyal customers and leave the semi-regulars or once-a-monthers out in the cold. It is these types of customers that make a restaurant, not the every nighters. Speaking of cold, the last two times I went there they did not have ice in the water glasses or pitchers. They could not account for the lack of ice and seemed insulted if you thought the water was warm. The temperature of the restaurant was also overly warm on my last two visits. This leaves me with doubts about the temperature sensitive food items. On the last visit, they gave me the wrong dish and were very slow about making me the correct one. This should have been priority one. When I asked for extra papadam, the waiter nodded his head, but failed to deliver me more. I then asked again and he all of the sudden acted like he could not understand English and walked away shaking his head. Are they that cheap that they cannot give you an extra lentil wafer? This used to be a quality establishment, but they have gotten sloppy, lazy, and only cater to a few ""select"" customers. Please don't condescend to dining here. Pros: Close to my house. I went to the lunch buffet and the food was excellent! There was a very good variety and the food was top quality. However, I was a little disappointed that they didn't have butter chicken at the buffet, because I had heard that it was great there, but they had it at the buffet a different time. I'm guessing that they each day.\r \r This is VERY IMPORTANT: Ladies, you MUST dress modestly. I wore a regular shirt with a scoop neck and we had awful service. At some point during the meal, I looked around me and realized that all of the women were wearing shirts that covered their collar bones (for example: a sweatshirt or a crewneck sweater) except me. The manager of the restaurant was very friendly and nice to the people at the table next to us but he never spoke to us! more

I have many co-workers that are from India and a good bit of them advise that Rucci is very close to the real thing. The food is delicious, the lunch buffet is a very good steal. Mango Lassi is unlimited and taste very good. Service over the last few years has downgraded, as servers sometimes take a long time to bring mroe water or remove plates. Otherwise this is a very good resturant and highly reccomended. Pros: Awesoem variety, about as authentic as it gets in KC. Cons: Service has taken a downtorn, but not enough to be a turnoff. more

This is joeAdams from maryville.I have found an Indian restaurent which had every thing with the delicoius food .I went to the restaurent all the way from Maryville to overland Park kansas city witha couple of my indian friends .I was little hesitated to taste the dishes.But when I tasted they were awesome.Especially the management was really friendly and explained all dishes I ordered clearly.I liked the chicken tikka masala.Rava masala dosa was really awesome.I recommend one should visit this restaurent atleast once in a year.I promise good food and hospitable managemnt and staff more

Indian food is amazing. Its is the best Indian restaurant in the Kansas city. The customer service is high and it doesn't take much time for the food to be served once you place an order. The food is worth for the price paid. more

The food served by the Ruchi restaurant people is delicious. Especially the butter chicken dish tastes amazing. We people can choose from wide varieties of food. Obviously it is one of the best Indian cuisine that I have ever seen. Its worth to taste the food in Ruchi restaurant. more
