President Barbershop is exactly the kind of place that comes to mind when one thinks of a classic barbershop: 4 chairs, lots of banter, a 20-minute haircut at reasonable prices. As with any shop, the haircuts vary from barber to barber, day to day. I've found that it's best to find one or two barbers that cut my hair the way I like, and to wait for those guys to be available. The whole gang is cheerful and experienced.\r

Best to avoid Saturdays, if possible. They don't take appointments, and the line can be out the door. For this very reason, weekday mid-morning and mid-afternoon are often the least crowded.\r

This seems to be a great place to bring kids, too. \r

Parking can be a challenge, as it is with many businesses in downtown Palo Alto.
