Fry's has all kinds of computer and electronics. Like other people said, there won't be a lot salesman tell you what it is and how to use it. But I still enjoy buying things there because I like self-service and I don't like people bothering in me when I shopping. They also offer great price. When I want to buy electronics, this is definitely the place I want to go.

This place is well lighted and spacious (the better to show off the merchandise, I suppose). They have a large variety of beads and other jewelry making tools. I love the way the beads are displayed. They are grouped by material and then by color. The shop also offers jewelry making classes and finished pieces for sale.

My wife bought her first banjo here. It was a bit slow getting help but she got a really nice one for a good price. I also took guitar lessons through this store and had a great time. They have lots of instruments and supplies, and connections to people who give lessons on instruments of all kinds. The location is great and it is important that we support local businesses!

I absolutely love this place. I went to the one in Stanford mall last week, their staff were absolustely funny and helpful. I bought truffle pate and duck pate, hmm, they were so yummy. While you are there, be sure to try their sandwiches. I wish i have two stomach after I tried their turkey and soft brie sandwich. They were soooo yummy. I heard curry chicken sandwich is a must too. They have another location in San Francisco as well.

Elaine generously took time to understand my taste and ideas and was able to adapt them to the lines and details that best suited my body. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge to draw from and was therefore able to design a gorgeous, unique and elegant dress with ideal fit. Elaine is a master of alterations as well. I've never bought anything new from these guys, so I can't really speak about their selection or prices on that front, but these guys do teriffic repair, for a good price, and quickly. I took some stuff there to be repaired after getting sticker shock from a place in Los Altos, and I'm so glad I did! The owner, Israel, is a really nice man, and the price was much lower than the other place. They did nice work, and their turnaround was lightning fast. They have nice follow-through as well. Highly recommended!

The Klutz store mainly sells their own brand, Klutz. Some of the baby stuff that theu have is pretty cute. The quality is nice, although it really depends on what you are buying, some things are better than others. The prices here can get pretty high so be ready for your wallet to lose its friendly weight. Its located in kinda of a busy place so during the hustle and bustle hours of the day you might have to find parking a block or two away from the store.

Yes, its a little random that there is a fruit and veggie shop right in the middle of Stanford Shopping Center (because it is home to designers and store like Macy's and Nordstroms) but thats why we love it. No, thats not why. Sigona's prices do match the location: things are very expensive. Oh, except for their oyster mushrooms. For some reason they actually have a really good deal on their oyster mushrooms. But there is a secret to this place, a secret shelf! There is one single little shelf where they put "clearance" items. They mark down some random fruits and veggies, and this is the real deal. It depends one when you come and if you're lucky but sometimes you can really get a l ot of good stuff. Oh, also they have samples of stuff everywhere: oranges, mandarines, berries of all sorts, mangoes, nuts. You can come up and try a little of everything.
