They have always been so professional and kind to my kitties. Besides the excellent care, the fact that it is a feline only clinic, helps put my cats at ease with the whole process. Our family has been going to Dr. Norsworthy before Alamo Feline Health Center was even planned. When the Health Center opened we were eager to follow the Doctor to his new "State of the Art" facility. We have rescued 14 cats over the last 21 years and all received excellent care from the doctor and his staff. Unfortunately we have had to deal with several diseases with our many felines, stomatitis, heart disease, cancer, FIV and old age. Back in the spring of 2006, our then 16-year-old cat was near death, and our veterinarian at the time encouraged us to see Dr. Norsworthy as soon as possible, for our vet then said there was nothing more he could do for our cat. He thought Dr. Norsworthy, as a nationally-recognized expert in feline health care, would be able to help us. We got in to see Dr. Norsworthy within one hour of our call to his office, and to make a very long and drawn-out story short, through the expert care, advice and counsel of Dr. Norsworthy and his staff, our geriatric cat recovered and thrived for nearly three more years. For over 10 years my four cats and my husband and I have remained confident and secure in the knowledge that a specific cat care facility has been available to us. Dr. Norsworthy is an expert in feline care, and literally wrote the book!! Their equipment and diagnostic facilities are top rate and up to date. I have nothing but praise for this facility. We have 4 cats and 2 of them have been under Dr. Norsworthy's care and staff for 14 1/2 years. I had to take one of my cats recently with kidney disease and she hadn't eaten for days. Within 2 weeks she gained back a pound and 6 ounces which is very unusual for a cat who is 14 1/2 years old with kidney disease . His expertise and knowledge of cat health issues is very impressive and he explains it all in a way that a lay person can understand. Dr. Norsworthy treats those wonderful felines regardless of whether they purr while being examined! His staff is not afraid of a hiss or growl and provides the best care for the cat. They also take time to listen to the owners. I have boarded two of my four cats at their facility and toured the kennels and they are top notch. Dr. Norsworthy loves cats and my litter loves him! Dr. Norsworthy and his staff have tended to our numerous cats since before Alamo Feline Health Center even existed. He is so knowledgeable about his clients that we followed him when he moved/opened this new practice. His amazing knowledge base has afforded our cats longer lives with a better state of health. He and his staff are top notch and you couldn't pay me to take our pride of felines anywhere else. Dr. Norsworthy and his team are the best around. I have regularly boarded my cat (Attila) there for about 7 years and no where else. The staff is very friendly and it is very obvious they have a deep care for animals. I can actually say that I owe my cats life to Dr. Norsworthy. He underwent a major operation several years ago and though it was very traumatic for me, his team was wonderful. Personal phone calls with updates on how he was doing and accommodating my drop by visitations... there was a personal touch that really made the difference in a very difficult situation. Things are great now... All healthy, happy, and no problems. And it's all because of the great team at Alamo Feline. I would go nowhere else. All I can say is thank you very much. We are three cats who have been to Alamo Feline Health Center over the last 9 years. We love Alamo Feline Health Center because all the people there are friendly and nice to us. While we don't like going to the doctor, Dr. Norsworthy is super knowledgeable about us and is very gentle when he has to treat us. We like his staff because they are very friendly, say nice things to us (like how beautiful we are) and let us play while we are waiting to see Dr. Norsworthy. We think the boarding facility is a pretty nice hotel for cats. We get plenty of space, a nice view (once in a while there is a squirrel in the tree outside our window), whatever food Mom has ordered and lots of love from the kennel attendants. Our Mom likes this place because Dr Norsworthy is so smart. He helped Tosca survive all kinds of old age problems and he is keeping Lohe healthy and happy (and alive) even though he has a bad heart disease. Dr. Norsworthy has cared for our succession of cats for at least 30 years, since long before the Alamo Feline Health Center opened. In all that time, he has provided exceptional care for them, sick or well. His broad knowledge of feline maladies has saved our cats when they were ill and preserved the health of those that were doing well. He is recognized in his profession as an international authority, a recognition that is well deserved, and with the Center he has been able to offer care focused on cats. The personnel are knowledgeable, friendly, and ‘cat-oriented’, and are gentle and kind in every respect. We have referred others to the Center, and in every instance they have been delighted with the care they received. When we have boarded our cats there they have been well cared for, and we have been kept well informed of their condition and able to visit them at any time. A kitten we adopted from the Center eight years ago has recently had a serious problem, and his life has been saved by Dr. Norsworthy’s expertise. I have taken my cats to Alamo Feline Health Center for many years. Dr. Norsworthy and his entire staff are the most caring and understanding. He treated my first cat MC who was 12 who had kidney failure and kept him alive until there was nothing else to do. He was willing to continue treating him but I knew there was nothing else that could be done. Ashley, who is 18 years, was diagnosed with heart trouble about 4 years ago, and by some miracle of Dr. Norsworthy, she no longer has it. I also have 2 other cats, Thumper and CB, who also are under his care. I would not take my cats anywhere else!!! Dr. Norsworthy has taken care of my cats since 1981. Examples of the excellent care he has always provided are too numerous to list in their entirety. With various cats, we have been through tumor surgery, heart problems, kidney failure, liver disease, gall bladder trouble, a life threatening herpes infection and a host of less serious illnesses. Dr. Norsworthy’s diagnostic skills are phenomenal. He combines the art and science of veterinary medicine using the latest technology, keen observation, careful history taking, methodical exploration of possibilities and plain common sense. One of my cats lived to be 21 years old and another 19. Both enjoyed additional years because of Dr. Norsworthy’s diagnostic and treatment skills. Plus, he truly loves cats and it shows. From Dr. Norsworthy’s unassuming manner, you would never suspect that he is a nationally renowned feline specialist and has written a definitive textbook on feline medicine. He likes to teach and has trained veterinarians from all over the world. He has a great “bedside manner” and communication skills which enable him to teach cat owners how to manage their cats’ illnesses at home. When one of my older cats died in her sleep and again when another had to be euthanized, Dr. Norsworthy and his staff were wonderful. I could not have asked for more caring, compassionate and understanding people. The staff is helpful, returns calls promptly, issues reminders and follows through with whatever is requested of them. The décor and ambiance of the clinic are great--cat themed exam rooms, dark wood furniture, cheerful colors, etc. I recommend Alamo Feline Health Center without reservation. My husband and I have taken our cats to Dr. Norsworthy since 1994 and we cannot say enough great things about the care that has been provided over the years. Two of our cats lived to be 19 years old and we totally attribute that to his knowledge and the treatment provided to them. As the owner of 6 cats with multiple medical issues, this totally feline facility has provided my furry family with the absolute best care possible. Dr Norsworthy and his team are the highly trained and compassionate caregivers that keep my special companions healthy and happy. Having experienced both raising newborn kittens with bottlefeeding and helping numerous older (15+ years) cats make a graceful and comfortable exit from this life, Alamo Feline has always been there to help with their care. No matter what the situation, his team always follows up to check on their "patients" to make sure that everything is going well and to see if there are any questions. We were blessed to be recommended to Dr. Norsworthy after our cat,Bandit,had been misdiagnosed by another veterinarian with FIP virus, which he should have died from.When we came to Alamo Feline, Dr. Norsworthy and staff were very concerned for Bandit. after tests and a biopsy, while on a speaking engagement in Hawii, Dr. Norsworthy called us at 10:00p.m. with the diagnosis and to discuss options., Bandit had small cell lymphoma. I call that caring and dedication for my pet. With prayer and Dr. Norsworthy giving six chemo treatments and care to Bandit, he went from 6.4lbs to almost 10lbs.Bandit is healed, happy, and living a full life.All thanks to the Lord, Dr. Norsworthy, and staff. My cat, Yvette (17 years old) needed a special thyroid treatment that required a 4 day and night stay at Dr. Norsworthy's facility. I was able to call every morning and late afternoon and consult with the technician caring for my cat. I frequently spoke with Stephanie who was so nice (and patient) to me and I was reassured daily that Yvette was doing well and eating normally. Yvette is home now and is her usual demanding and loveable self and I feel I made the right decision to go forth with this treatment. I have tremendous confidence in Dr Norsworthy and the people working with him. While Yvette receives excellent care, I receive a lot of consideration and believe they all sincerly care for my pet. I love the cats only office - my kitties are much more comfortable without dogs barking at them! And since they care for cats only, they offer specialized and state of the art care - and have the most up-to-date equipment to diagnose and care for your kitty. I came to Dr. Norsworthy from another vet who had missed a diagnosis of heart disease in one of my kitties! He has consistently diagnosed and treated many difficult illnesses in my kitties (I have a lot of them!) and has always discussed the options, treatments and costs and helped me make the best decisions for me and my kitties.
