I have been a customer since this establishment opened. They have outgrown the service they first provided and now it's just a regular salon. They couldn't help you enough when they opened, now it's like they are doing you a favor to get you an appointment. Maybe when they loose enough of their regulars they will pay attention....then again, might be too late by then! more

I had the same hair dresser for 15 years, so you can imagine how hard it was to try to find someone new. I had moved too far away to go to her anymore, so I've been desperately trying to find a new one. It has been really hard, but I believe I have finally found one! This is a great salon. Very clean, the staff is really nice and Amy was the best. She knew exactly how to do my hair. She did a beautiful job on my highlights and cut. I received lots of compliments. I have lived overseas for 10 years, and upon returning to the states it was very difficult finding a good hair salon. After walking through the front door of Peter Jacobs Salon, and being greated by the owner, Kathy, I thought I might have found that place. Kathy listened to my desires, made some excellent suggestions, and gave me the best hair cut I have ever received. I have seen her salon grow in volume and in services, and all that I have tried have lived up to Kathy's high standards of excellent quaility, good value, and freindly astmospher. My daughter now gets her hair cut at Peter Jacobs and is the envy of all her friends at school. She is a very picky highschooler. I have to say that we have now found a salon that we can call home! I have been a client of Kathy's for more than three years and she certainly does not need to bribe me to write a good review. It is too bad that what sounds like a couple of disgruntled ex-employees are trying to trash such a great place. The salon is always clean and bright. Kathy is fantastic with color. I drive almost an hour to get to her salon - that is what a great job she does. I would also highly recommend any of the facial treatments - Christi is excellent. Kathy works hard to run a very professional salon and to make sure the clients are pleased with the services received. Give this place a try. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Having floated around to many different salons in Orlando, I've finally found a 'home'. The girls there are friendly and happy, unlike many places around town. The stylists are well trained, knowledgeable and give great cuts! I've loved every haircut I've gotten there and actually look forward to going back for another. I always felt like I was 'interrupting' or a bother at the other upscale salons. Peter Jacobs is an upscale atmosphere without the 'upscale attitude'! Love it! more

I am from West Palm Beach and have been going to the same salon and same lady since I was 5 years old. Since moving to Orlando 2 years ago for school, I have had the hardest time finding a salon that I was completely satisfied with and because I have always been pretty fussy with my hair, I have had no luck with my search. I would usually just wait to make a trip home for my hair which as you can imagine can be a little inconvenient. I found Peter Jacob salon driving by and decided to do a little research online. I found a very organized website with all the information I needed and over 15 excellent reviews from satisfied clients. I picked up the phone and called to make an appointment on August 1st with Kathy. My hair was in DESPERATE need of cut and highlights! Let me just say my time there was nothing short of amazing and my search is FINALLY over. Everyone was so welcoming and I felt comfortable with Kathy right away. She was very easy to talk to and she really listened to what I wanted done. My cut and highlights are absolutely beautiful!! The salon itself has a very homey feeling and the girls walk around and chat with everyone making it a very fun atmosphere. Also the chairs for the wash sink are to die for!! (They recline all the way back, so you don't have a stiff neck when you get up.) I also decided to get my eyebrows waxed and April did a wonderful job and took her time to make sure they looked really good. My whole experience was very relaxing and enjoyable and I really could go on forever talking about how happy I am. I would recommend this salon to anyone! I started getting facials for the first time ever in January (2007) since I am getting married in November. April is wonderful, the facials are relaxing and my skin looks so much better! I had been seing the same stylist for a number of years and recently decided to take a chance and see someone closer to my home. When I visted Peter Jacob Salon I was pleasantly surprised. The service I received was fantastic and employees were very friendly. I was very nervous about having my hair styled at a new salon and I decided to made a dramatic change to my hair style, I cut about 9 inches off. Kathy did a fantastic job with styling my hair and also with the coloring. I love the change! more

I have worn hair extensions in the past and was especially looking forward to trying a new hair extension method called fusion. The process of fusion differs from other hair extensions because the hair is applied a little at a time and applied with an adhesive instead of being sewn. I was excited and nervous at the same time, but once I walked through the salon doors and met my stylist my anxiety was gone. The atomsphere in the salon is wonderful, very well kept, and all the stylist are a delight. My stylist was very professional, attentive, and very experienced. The whole process took less than four hours and my hair was GORGEOUS!!!. I could not believe my eyes. I never imagined my hair could look so beautiful. Plus these extensions will last for 4-6 months. Ever since those stubborn gray hairs appeared and I began having my hair colored I have been so frustrated. Every salon I went to promised that my hair would not fade to that horrid brassy orange color within a few days - to no avail. I met Kathy Cabrera (owner of Peter Jacob Salon) and explained my problem. She understood my problem and promised me results. She uses a special hair dye from Europe that is resistant to fading - I, of course was skeptical because I have heard the story before...I can help you, it won't fade when I finish...Well, I can honestly say that Peter Jacob's hair dye has passed the test. I haven't seen that disgusting brassy hair since this salon opened. I realized that most of the other salons use Matrix hair dye which clearly doesn't like my hair too much. The product that Kathy uses is tops and has solved all of my problems. Kathy is also a master sytlist and has given me awesome hair cuts time after time. I am so happy to have a quality salon right here in the Avalon area! Her facialist, April, is awesome too! She does great eyebrows..and I even got my hubby to have her wax his back! He was nervous but thrilled with the results. All in all, you can't go wrong here. From massages to nails, color, cuts, extensions, etc. you can find it all here.
