Just as the five stars says it, this place is a ""run, dont walk! kind of place. I have been a long time customer of Great Labels. I have been doing a lot of traveling lately, so I have not gotten the chance to stop by until this weekend. WOW was I impressed. First off, the store has a totally new, hip, chic look to it. The ambiance is incredible. The staff was warm and welcoming right when I walked in the door. I noticed that the whole vibe had changed, It looked STELLAR! It was like a new and improved great labels. Things were well put together, the displays were great. It was obvious that all the employees had a wide range of fashion knowledge. I have been shopping designer discount stores for decades and at this boutique in particular for over a dozen years. They have something for everyone, including everything from amazing couture pieces to designer jeans, all at insanely low prices. The inventory changes daily so there is always a fresh selection to choose from. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are always ready to help coordinate an outfit for any occasion and are relaxed and not pushy. And, since they are open 7 days a week, they are perfect when you're in a pinch. Also, since this is a consignment shop, it's also the perfect place to turn your unwanted designer duds into cash or store credit. They even have a 60 day layaway plan for that special item that may take a few paychecks to acquire. I can't say enough about this beautiful, newly redecorated boutique but if you like good quality designer clothes, and hate paying department store prices, this is the place for you. I enjoyed the experience. I never heard of the place, but the sale sign out by the sidewalk got my eye! Heheh - doesn't that always happen. I found some wonderful things. Prices were good and \r condition was good - 'gently used' as advertised. And the styles were good, too. I just read some of the reviews and was happy to know that the owner actually cares enough to read reviews and post her side of the story in response to criticisms. If anything, it shows that she really cares and knows her customers/target customers. That's a good thing because that means she has an eye for stuff that her customers will like and for us customers, it means we can count on consistency - quality, style and price. Afterall, part of the FUN of shopping is going into a store and know you can find something you like! ;) more

I like this store because they don't although they don't have a huge selection of black tie dresses but the ones they have are resonable and really nice. . I bought a Richard Tyler gown that was marked down to $80. I kept thinking there was something wrong but truly it was perfect. The owner was helpful and told me that often this happens with the gowns because people do not dress up in Los Angeles that much and they don't sell them very often. I checked out the other items which were more sportwear type things and thought the selection was nice. I was on a mission so I didn't try anything else but I would recommend it. I went to Macys and Nordstroms and this was much nicer than anything I saw there. Pros: Great Prices for dressy clothes Cons: Dressing rooms are not private more

Wilshire has lots of consignment stores and you have the opportunity to go to a few good ones if you want. I love this one the best for the choices of clothing from tops for $10 all the way up to designer gown in the thousands. They have a great purse selection and although the prices are not cheap, I realize that purses in general are very expensive these days. I have bought some great half off bags like Coach for $80 that was new with tags. ($390.00) If you like a treasure hunt, good luck shopping here. Pros: prices on sale are really good Cons: don't know any more

I shop resale all over the United States. I buy high end mostly but am not willing to pay the prices at regular stores and I usually can find some great deals here. Most of the clothes are very current and I have never seen anything with stains as some shops have. I like the fact that they have more moderate labels as well. Sometimes I don't mind buying Banana Republic it the price is right. As you enter the most expensive merchandise is up front and as you go to the back, all the less expensive and sale items at up to 75% are lined up in row after row. I usually shop the sale items and always find great deals. Staff is friendly and nice and doesn't push anything on you like some stores do. Pros: lots of variety for all budgets Cons: none that I can think of more

Extremely rude personnel, particularly blond lady Mira. Clothes dated and stained. Prices ridculous for what they were selling!! Will not return. more

They were so condescending when I brought my stuff in. I have sold a lot of my stuff - I only shop at Barney's, Saks, and higher end stores, so I know what sells at these places. But they wouldn't even entertain the designer stuff that I brought in. It's too bad, because their selection of clothes is decent and I probably would have given them their money back in sales. Brought all my stuff in (PRADA, GUCCI, Nanette LePore, etc) dry cleaned and none of it sold and most of it was FILTHY! What were people doing while trying this stuff on. Woman with really bad plastic surgery that owns it is RUDE! Worst experience ever! Cons: your clothes will get ruined, rude owner, high end clothes don't sell more

I brought my items to Great Labels 6 months ago. They greeted me with a smile and even though I had no appointment, they were happy to look at my things. I happen to love to shop so my items were current, high-end (boutique not mall clothing) and in perfect condition. (A few Banana and J. Crew which they explained they can sell however it is a very small part of their business) I got a huge check the first, second and third month.. \r After 60 days my clothing went on sale and at the end of the 90 consignment period days they had sold most of my pieces. \r I donated some things for which I got a tax deductible receipt and they were happy to return the other pieces. Over all a great experience and a very easy process. I think if you like designer labels and want to get top dollar, this is the place to bring you clothing, purses and shoes.\r By the way, I found a really fabulous Dolce & Gabbanna dress which I thought was priced very fair and still had the price tags on. more

I lugged so many fabulous clothes there and what a waste of time. Barely any sales at all in months. On top of it all, I was greeted with a snobishness...as if they were doing me a favor. I should have done eBay. more

I must confess that I am not really a label person, and that this store may be better suited to those who are. I found the service to be somewhat snobbish and skeptical of me for no apparent reason. I didn't think that the clothing was anything special, and it was certainly expensive. If you aren't a slave to brands, you aren't going to find anything special here. Also, based on what I saw, the store seems to cater more to women who are 40 and up. more

I have been a consingment shopper for many years and when I walked into Great Labels I felt I was in a very fine clothing boutique. The merchandise is the top designers that you see in the stores for much less. I like shopping very high end and have money but refuse to pay the outrageous prices of designer clothing these days. I found a Cavalli dress with the price tags from Neimans of $2800. I paid $600 which is over 75% off. I also bought a Gaultier top and it was less than $100.00 They had a gorgeous Gucci sherling coat that I loved but was too small. Overall it is the best merchandise I have seen in a store of this type. The clothing is hip and young and not like those resale shops that carry 10 year old suits with big shoulder pads. Pros: great selection, very spacious, helpful staff more
