The current show, "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary" is terrific-- lots of fun for all ages (including adults, thanks to some very clever music and lyrics and fun choreography)! My friend's 5 year old niece and 9 year old nephew absolutely loved it, as did my friend and me. The kids talked about it for days afterwards. The show only plays for two more weekends (to be followed by another terrific show). It's a great way to introduce children to theater! Check it out!
Pros: Lots of fun!

When I was pregnant I started coming here and later I came with my daughter for the Mommy and Me class, when she was only a few months old. I still go here and have remained close friends with several of the women I met at the Prenatal class. The prenatal class was great. I was nervous about becoming a mother but being with other expecting moms was a great help.

Bright Child is an indoor gym conveniently located right off the Third Street Promenade. There is an amazing two story maze for toddlers to navigate, as well as a ball pit thatis walled off for the security of the under three set. Their birthday parties are fantastic, but rather pricey. They do not allow you bring in food from other vendors. They do offer a selcection of menu choices, including special diet accomadations.

This college is great for students looking for an education or even to transfer to other universities, like UCLA which is nearby also. It is not far from the beach so students can go there to relax and shop on the promenade. The selection of classes is good and the campus is pretty nice! I took a class here and it was helpful.

I went to this school from 6th-8th grade as did my aunt and my brother. The curriculum is excellent but only if you want to learn. This schools level of teaching really depends on the student - you can learn as little or as much as you want to. I went through the Science Magnet program the school has and loved it. The library is well stocked and has nice staff. The food at the school is terrible and a lot of the students can be rude and violent at times. Their is also some gang activity at the school however nothing too bad has ever happened on school grounds. They have block scheduling which just this year changed a bit to incorporate more daily meetings with teachers.

If you are looking for a really fun local gym for your infants or toddlers, you should check out Kidnasium. They are clean and well organzied. They offer classes most days of the week and they are all so fun! Their birthday parties are very popular there, and you can bring in your own food. They coordinate all activites though.

The first school offers classes for the transitional period as well as the preschool years. It offers both afternoon and morning sessions. It offers a nurturing and loving environment where skills are taught primarily through play. The ratio for teachers and students is very low and individual attention is stressed. Highly recommend the program to anyone searching.

More
I went to this school from 3rd-5th grade. I at one point had a teacher who could not spell properly and spoke to the class often in Spanish. He really should have been fired but he was going out with the principal who was also kind of mean. Since the principal has left the school and works at the High School and the teacher has left as well. One teacher I had, for third grade, was excellent. The level of how good this school is depends on which teacher you get - you could get lucky and have a nice one or get a bad one. Either way the lunch food there is nice, the school is large (although the campus is shared by another school next door) and the library is really nice and quiet. Overall an OK school and now that theres a new principal I am sure it is better!
