Best Vet and staff around!!! We travel from Connecticut to see Dr. V. We have been going to him since 1978 --- over 35 years. Dr. V is very knowledgeable, caring and his prices are reasonable. He is worth the 4 hour round-trip ride for our pets.\r Prior to that my in-laws went to Forest Avenue Animal Hospital in the 1950's - 1970's when it was owned by Dr. Ward.\r We would not go anywhere else. more

I have been taking my 3 dogs to this Vet for 6 years. 3 years ago I moved to NJ, but to this day I go into SI because this place is the best for my canine kids. I tried 2 other Vets in Jersey, and ended up back with Dr. V. Besides the Dr. being very knowledgeable, I love that the staff remembers my dogs. A previous reviewer wrote that the Dr. didn't speak English. He speaks fluent English, just with an accent. more

Dr. V is a sweetheart and honest ! He actually Cares About the Animals well being and offers Decent Pricing! The staff I met are great .. (Diana, Frank, Maggie, Melissa) .. DO NOT DISCREDIT THIS BUSINESS .. no its not decorated state of the art and yes it smells like what it is An Animal Hospital .. BUT I PERSONALLY WITNESS The Sanitizing and Disinfecting after each animal visit. I will definitely stay with this vet from now on !!! more

if you can get thru to the office the staff rushes you off phone. they do not take notes when they speak to you. doctor rushes thru seeing patients from the over crowded, smelly, waiting room. he DOES NOT LISTEN TO PET OWNERS. he speakes over them. he does not take notes. he charges less but remember, you get what you pay for and nowhere, then coming here, has that been more apparently. you could speak to them at 11am and by 12pm they will not know who you are or what was the issue with your pet.\r \r i cannot believe some of the reviews that are positive about this place are actually for this place. these people must be on drugs when they come there, or blind. this is not a good place to take your pet. doctor once dropped my pet right on the floor... i only went back b/c my mother insisted on taking her pet there. NEVER EVER AGAIN. \r Pros: none the one star is cuz you have to select one Cons: understaffed, no appts, doctor speaks no english more
