The food is average at best. Service slow. Tables were wiped with a cloth that you could smell a mile away of mildew - gross. I won't go back and I wouldn't recommend to a friend.

it was OK 7/20/2008

I read the reviews before driving from metro to downtown and thought, yeah, give it a try. I was sorely disappointed. For $9, I got 6 ravioli. Not much. Thank god I ordered a large salad, or I would have left hungry. The pasta was good, service was good, sauces varied from good to not so good. We went with a party of four and everyone ordered different dinners, so I got to taste four different pastas and sauces. The last sauce on the menu is the best, order it! Don't get ravioli unless you aren't really hungry. While it was OK, I won't bother going back. It is certainly nothing to write home about. I truly can't understand why so many people rave about it. It was simply a decent pasta house. I went to order espresso after dinner and the cashier told me it wasn't very good. I'm not sure if it's really not good or if she just didn't want to fix it. OK at best. I must say that I prefer Olive Garden and will go there next time I crave pasta rather than this place. Pros: great bread, salad Cons: no parking at virginia highlands, we had to walk 1/2 mile, overpriced pasta more

Great Food;Great Service;Great Price 6/23/2008

Saturday evening my daughter and I decided we wanted to eat a light dinner, she suggested pasta and having passed FIGO several times we decided to stop in, we looked online but there was no menu or additional information other than the reviews but we decided to stop anyway. The food was excellent; I had the Butternut Squash & Wild Mushroom soup with the 4 Cheese Ravioli with Meat Sauce. The soup was absolutely delicious and so was the pasta. My daughter had a salad and a Chicken & Mushroom dish which she thoroughly enjoyed ( a very picky eater). The server was friendly ( can't remember her name), knowledgeable and the service was excellent. The restaurant is quaint and homey, not fancy or pretentious. I really enjoyed the experience and also saw where the restaurant had received Best of Citysearch in 2006. It was a beautiful day, we ate on the patio, really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and the bill was great too(smile). We will make FIGO a regular and will recommend to family & friends. Pros: Non commercial; crowded area more

Great pasta, cheap! 2/18/2007

I've been to Figo several times and the food is always consistent. Seems to be one of the only places I know to which none of my friends object going. Perfect al dente' preperation, every time. I haven't been disappointed yet. Figo's salmone sauce is one of the best vodka or seafood based sauces that I have ever had with pasta, anywhere. Generous portions for the price, but you might want to get a salad to accompany if you are really hungry. This joint remains a regular in my eating-out rotation. Pros: Very consistent, great price. Cons: The music gets a bit weird sometimes more

Figo - one of the best and least expensive places to eat in Atlanta 10/26/2006

Figo is an excellent example of value and fresh food. I'm not sure where else you could eat as delicious a lunch for $6. You can choose from a list of different types of pasta and top them with a choice of sauce. The menu is full of a great variety. You can get traditional ground beef sauce, or something more unusual, like lamb, smoked salmon, shrimp or eggplant sauces. My favorite is the checca made with chopped fresh tomato, mozzarella and basil. The bruschetta is excellent if you want a light starter. But, you don't even need an app, because they give you a basket of fresh baked bread when you sit down. \r \r We were in a suprisingly long line one evening at Figo waiting to order. The manager came out and poured glasses of wine for everyone to drink on the house. Amazing!!! Pros: fresh food, good wine selection, great service Cons: I wish they had fresh brewed tea... they only have bottled more

Great Italian for little $ 7/14/2006

We LOVE figo and go at least every couple of weeks. Everything is consistently good. Great calamari (when they have it as a special). The cheese & spinach ravioli with ""zucchini e gamberi"" is wonderful! Don't care for the gemilli too much, though. It always seems to be a ""special"", but is much too gummy and pasty for my taste. PLEASE add pesto as a sauce on your menu. Whenever there is a special with pesto, you can't substitute the pasta and usually are forced back to the dreaded gemilli. It would be even better if Figo could come with a ravioli like Puchinella, with sausage, sage, and granny smith apples in a brown butter sauce...Ah! that's to die for!\r Great ambiance and service! Pros: Calamari, zucchini e gamberi sauce, wine choices Cons: PLEASE "86" the Gemilli more

Good Affordable Italian!!! 6/29/2006

I love this place! The menu is simply the best italian. The pasta is fresh and homemade and sauces use fresh ingredients. Try the spinach linguine with the eggplant-mozzerella sauce! Yum! They have awesome salads, and even the best bread and garlic oil. \r Good for health concious people too, as you can order full size salads or half. The place is a little small, but you can choose to sit outside if needed. If you are in the area, and just want to have a quick and filling lunch, stop here!!! Pros: Fast service, price, awesome dishes more

great food, great price 5/20/2006

i definately recommend this place if you're looking for great food at a reasonable price. the atmosphere and service is even great. it's very casual, but the food and service make you feel like you're somewhere more upscale (but without the snooty attitudes). Pros: prices, service Cons: crowded more
