i love that the priority at eddie's is the music. they do everything in their power to make it the best environment for listening to the world's best acoustic music. people who don't want to be cramped or told to not talk loud or told to turn off their cell phones, etc should not go - if you are looking for an upscale bar experience, don't go. if you want to go somewhere to meet people or catch up with friends and have some good music in the background, don't go. if you are looking for a funky hole in the wall, with plenty of character, to actually listen to good music without a bunch of distractions, you should check it out. the servers and owners are going to defend the environment first and serve the customer second, so don't expect anything different. if that bothers you - perfect, don't go, those of us that enjoy this place don't want you there.
Pros: it's all about the music baby
Cons: sometimes draws customers who don't understand the pros

We are very sorry that you feel this is how you were treated. You came to us after your original doctor could not perform the emergency surgery. Dr. Smith agreed to perform the surgery and provided you with an estimate, to which you replied that you, "did not need an estimate because the surgery was needed regardless". In fact, the surgery total came within the estimate quoted, and your pet recovered well. We advise owners to ask for estimates, and we certainly encourage feedback from clients.

I have been training dogs for a long time, and have been through many different trainers in the Atlanta area, and Kate at Jabula Dogs is by FAR the best. She is young, energetic, and extremely knowledgeable. She makes dog training fun for both the human and the dog. She offers a multitude of classes, events, etc. I personally have taken the Stage 1 and Stage 2 obedience classes, the agility class, and the trick training class, and I loved them all. I was also able to test for and recieve my Canine Good Citizen title with Kate. Her classes are small and laid-back, but they get the job done. She trains using positive techniques and can help with any type of dog, from a puppy to an older rescue with behavioral problems. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

The Posh Pup is like a boutique for pets. The name is cute, but a little misleading as it doesn't just focus on dog gifts. You can get regular items here that you could find at most pet stores, though everything here tends to be more novel and stylish--things like leashes, food bowls, brushes, etc. And then there are things you can find here that you are completely unique: edible birthday cards for the dogs, fresh baked pastries for your pet, and doggy breath mints. When I need a gift for an animal lover, this is the first place I go.

When we moved to Decatur, we didn't know what vet to take our cats to. Eventually, we settled on Decatur Village Veterinary Center because they had an incredibly cute mural or happy animals bounding about in a grassy field. If only they'd spent half the effort on the inside of their offices, which are a bit gray and slightly dilapidated. The vets there were always quite good, but we had less than great experience with some of the staff up front and the techs. We've since taken our cats to the Emory Animal Hospital which we prefer.

Century Cleaners Express is on Commerce Street, just north of the Decatur Square, near the Krogers. It's a small store which has a drive-through and it's business is almost exclusively conducted through the express window. The service is fine and professional, and the prices are reasonable. It's run by a charming English couple, who have a cute kid and great accents. They also can have your clothes hemmed or altered.
