FACE Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic

yes you do have to make an appt. yes you do half to wait. but you get one on one time with a vet for your animal and it doesn't cost very much. If you go to a regular vet the office visit is around 65. to 70. with out adding any services. this is a way to keep your animals health if you can't afford a regular vet visit. I have taken 5 different animals to FACE and have found the Vet's and staff to be helpful and caring. sometimes more than my regular vet. more

I am able to take good care of my 2 dogs due to the care and affordability of the clinic. You may have to wait up to an hour or so depending on when you arrive. The veterinary staff is excellent! If cost is a concern, this place can't be beat! more

If you love your animals, but don't have a lot of money, bring your animals here. I was surprised at the amount of time the staff vets actually spent with each animal. The staff also shared a lot of info about care of animals with me. I think I expected that the animals would not get as good of care or time with the staff, but the staff spent as much time with my cats and me as a commercial vet. that was a pleasant surprise. Yes you do have to wait, take a book or better yet, talk to all the other wonderful animal lovers there. more

If you were to take 2 cats to get neutered at a commercial vet, adding annual shots you would pay 330. At FACE this would be about 20. per cat, plus 10. per shot. Figure this out for yourselves. Bring a book or meet all the other wonderful animal people to pass the time. more

Good: It was very cheap and convieniant. Vet was very nice and had alot of good information!. Other: If you read on the website it clearly states that you will have to wait! So one stop complaining or go somewhere else with higher prices and no wait. If you are sooo worried about time then I suggest you get there early (before the doors open) I was early and was in and out and paid within and hour and a half! Also weekends or Fridays are busy. Use common sense and be happy that your gettin such a good deal! I would reccomend FACE to everyone!!. more

This is a caring good place. Yes they are very busy, yes you have to wait but you can get your animals taken care of properly. Be grateful that FACE exists. more

I can't believe people complain about lines. Even if you don't bring your pet here, this clinic is still doing you a personal service for nothing.The stray cat population in Indianapolis is NOTHING like other cities our size. Fewer diseases are spread to everyone. If you don't like the place go pay 5 times as much somewhere else. It's a non profit. I don't see anyone complaining about the quality of care they get. The website indicates that you'll have to wait because the processes are made in a way that allows them to serve the most animals in the quickest time, not in a way that suits animal owners most conveniently. I've been there, got there early enough to minimize my wait and my animals are better off for it. So is my checkbook. more

I just took my dog to the FACE clinic for his vaccinations. It took hours of waiting. We arrived at 4:00, and were given paper work to fill out, and then given a number in line. We were told there would be a wait, but the vet wasn't available until 5:30. We didn't leave until 7:00 PM. The staff was pretty nice, but the place was crazy! There were at least 30 people in line picking up there animals from surgery, and another 25 people with animals waiting for shots. Almost everyone had been waiting at least two hours, so no one was in a really nice mood. The ONLY reason to go here is the low cost. And believe me, the low was actually worth it. My dog received a rabies vaccination, a 5-in-1, and heartworm blood test for under $40. Compared to $250 - $300 at a regular vet, it was worth it. Do not expect more than either surgery or shots. The vet just doesn't have time. Check the prices on the website and compare. The low cost is the only reason to go, and be prepared to wait. more

I think Face is a good place to go. It costs a lot less than any other place around town. The only complaint I have is how long you have to wait until they let you in the door, and when you are inside it takes forever to get signed in and to get the animals shots. I have taken my animals there for years and that is the only complaint I have about the place. I think it is great that they offer low cost vaccines. more

I was treated so badly by the staff at the FACE clinic it was unreal. I work nights, and got one hour of sleep before I brought my two dogs in to be neutered. I did not hear the female tell me to fill out the paperwork, I was snapped at for that, when I mumbled under my breath "it would have been nice if you had told me" another staff member told me "it is self-explanatory to fill out all blank paperwork". No it isn't. not in of work. so when I got in to the exam room, I was venting to my daughter in my sleep deprived state that I would never come back and a male staff member told me if I did not like the way I was treated I should take my dogs and leave! I ignored him and told my daughter that I should call the shelter that recommended FACE to me and let them know how bad I was treated, the male staff member again told me I should take my dogs and leave. They are saving me money, so I could go elsewhere and pay more. At least four times when he was in the room he told me I should take my dogs and leave. Not to mention the wait was way too long, they did not mention when I made the appointment how long I would be there. If you can afford it, got to a "real" vet who will treat you and your pet(s) better!!! more
