Hard to believe that there?s two negative reviews here- I have two children at Early Horizons, one in the Toddler stage and one in PreSchool stage. We have been attending Early Horizons since 2007.\r \r First off, as noted by other reviewers, there has been turbulence, especially in 2008 with staff turnover, which is to be expected in the lifetime of a 25-year old business. **However, Early Horizon hit its stride and is simply wonderful.** They have begun facebook groups, sponsor Paren?t night out (at economical rates with trusted providers), special activities and parties for the kids, they partner with Kids love soccer to provide soccer and photographers to provide picture day. They have been super responsive to EVERY ONE of my parental concerns, with the directors following up one week later to be sure that the issue has been resolved to my satisfaction. The staff to cross-train so are familiar to my children, each member of the staff knows both my children?s names. Early more

Early Horizons is GREAT! 11/12/2009

Early Horizons is a great school! My kids have been there for nearly 7 years. The teachers are so caring and welcoming. Most of the staff have children themselves so they are undertanding of how leaving your child can feel. I have no qualms about leaving my children there each day and know they are in loving hands. I love the different environments they are able to experience through moving to a new room. It challenges them within a comfortable atmosphere. Great School! Highly recommended! more

You'll be sorry 9/10/2008

This place is awful. I signed my 4 year old boy up here when we moved to Sunnyvale. He started on a Monday and by Friday, he refused to go. He held on to his car seat, screaming and crying and refusing to go into the Early Horizons school room. I eventually dragged him out and the minute I let go of him, he ran back to the car. My son has been in daycare since he was 3 months old and loves it so it wasn't daycare that was the problem, it was Early Horizons. Pros: Great location Cons: Poor Directors, Chaotic class rooms, small, all cement playground more

  • We are a preschool for children from 2 months to 10 years of age. Our spacious facility allows us to provide separate indoor and outdoor spaces especially designed for each age group. We offer full-time and part-time schedules to meet the varied needs of families. Our school is a joyful place where you'll hear children's laughter and songs and days are filled with learning and fun.

    Early Horizons embraces children and families in a safe, diverse environment where children excel physically, socially and cognitively through hands-on learning. Our LifeStart curriculum provides circular learning involving parent, child and school.

    Early Horizons was established in 1984 by, Shelly Bokman and Sue Leto Cole. Both women hold Bachelors and Masters degrees in Child Development. Together they recognized a need for quality care and education of young children, as well as support for their families. Since 1984 both women have each had three children of their ow n, allowing them to know first hand both the challenges and joys of parenthood.. Director
