I have actually been part of this school district myself. I wasn't totally crazy about it, but it does the job. I have seen better schools in thebay area, but if you compare this one to others in the country or in the state, you will be quite happy with it. The teachers don't get too personal with the students, but if a student is struggling help is always available. The school district IS packed so they recently had to re-register all of the students to make sure that they idead lived within the district. Those with different addresses were asked to leave the school.

I have had many wonderful friends who have graduated from this school. Judging from their education I can tell that some do better in the school then others, it depends on your drive and willingness to lear. But isn't it the same in all public schools? The school has a pool and tennis courts for Physical education activities. The students have something that is called the "friday run" where they run around the track/field. Once in a while they run around the whole school block which makes a raugh mile.

this is a great place to go and get some lessons in clay and wheel throwing, you can also just pay for an hour of studio time. they will fire your work for you and you can get great feedback from the other artists who are working there. it's nice to have a studio so close to me in this area, I really like it!

They have summer technical camps as well fast track programs. They have options in almost all IT related courses and have good instructors.

I highly recommend Rainbow for preschool. My niece attended two years of preschool there (their program is 2 years in the same class, which is great) and is now starting kindergarden there. The Montessori method is fabulous for preschoolers to learn the basics in a very "hands on" environment with the children allowed to choose their activities during the day (a lot of independent activity). They expect a lot from the preschoolers, so it's best if they are pretty mature.
Not overly academic for preschoolers (I consider
Challenger too academic oriented for preschoolers)

This school is located at Duane Avenue in Sunnyvale. It is a private school. Very close to Lawrence and 101. A Very good school for toddlers and preschoolers. They also provide food for kids including a Vegetarian Menu. Very good for working moms and dads. They take care of kids very well. My son learnt a lot from this school. I started putting him when he was 2 yrs and 4 months old. He was not speaking English. But as soon as he went to this school he started speaking English very fluently and was singing rhymes, ABC's, 123's....
I would recommend this school to everyone.

the bay area has many taekwondojang (taekwondo schools). some get much more publicity than they deserve, others are rather modest and overlooked. this one is of the latter. here, friendly, caring, responsible instructors teach basic through advanced levels of traditional and olympic style taekwondo. the instruction is authentic but amicable. students get personal attention and a good workout. this is not your "commercial" joint but a very homegrown and real environment.

Mon Cheri Cooking School is a great culinary school located on Murphy avenue in Sunnyvale. They teach a wide variety of cooking classes. We have taken many classes from them. The teacher is very detailed and after she demonstrates the dishes the students then get to eat them. They sometimes teach classes at local wineries which are the most fun.

This school does not have the best reputation. The education here is just not too great. I have friends that used to go there, but they just diodnt want to stay. They switched schools. I wouldnt send my kid here. There is a better school in Sunnyvale, Sunnyvale Middle school and another nearby in Cupertino (Cupertino Middle school.) And those two go on to Homestead high school which everyone in the area wants to go to.
