First of all I don't even know why I was in this place. It's dark, smells like boys, and all I can hear is deafening CS (counter-strike gunfire).
Clans of teenage boys battle it out on the rows and rows of PCs.
I guess this place is great if you just want to sink into your Mike Teevea mode and play video games all day with a bunch of other nerds like you.
At least their fridge is fully stocked with caffinated drinks like Bawls and Red Bull, which I'm all for. Woo! Caffine!

this is a great place to go and get some lessons in clay and wheel throwing, you can also just pay for an hour of studio time. they will fire your work for you and you can get great feedback from the other artists who are working there. it's nice to have a studio so close to me in this area, I really like it!

I have been here two times. The person that worked there was not much help in knowing what they had in stock.
I found the pricing to be very much on the higher side comparatively.
With this larger size store, it hink they can do better

Been going to Rooster T's for over 10 years now. It's normally hit and miss regarding how the comics are. In most of my experiences, at least one of the comics is funny. Some just bomb and that in a way is funny also. It's a nice small club setting tucked away in Sunnyvale. You can't beat the price at $12 a head and there are many 2 for 1 coupons floating around (Metro, Eye) to reduce the costs. Drinks (2 drink min.) are average price but not outrageous. My only beef is that they don't have blender based drinks (yeah, minor nitpik).

I have mixed feelings about this Studio. I took both private lessons and group lessons at the Starlite and I attended several of their Friday night Dances and their "Private" dances which are held for their private lesson students only.
The atmosphere feels more like school auditorium rather than a ballroom but the floor is good. The private lessons are good depending on what teacher you take them with. They are pretty expensive but they're pretty generous with the free passes for group lessons and Friday Night Dances if you take the private lessons.
The Starlite really caters toward their Private Lesson students and if you can afford the lessons they are worth it. The Friday Night Dances are fun, the only thing I would avoid is the beginning group lessons, unless you bring your own partner you don't get much out of them since you tend to be paired with another beginner and end up being tripped up and falling all over each other each class. Best to learn with an experienced teacher.

Beginner classes start at 8:30 pm and cost $10. There's a dance after (which is quite fun and included with the lesson). The teacher is fairly good (a marvelous dancer). The beginner classes go for 5 week sessions (but if you know something about dancing, you can drop in any week); at some point, you can move up to the intermediate class which is much bigger.

I recently had the need to purchase a new keyboard to use with my mac, with guarage band. Originally, I had not expected to find such an item here, since I expected that they dealt with more standard musical instruments, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they new exactly what I was talking about, and were able to direct me to a keyboard that was perfect! They understood my need (I just wanted to be able to play a few drum tracks so that I can record my acoustic guitar tracks on top, and did not try to sell me on a keyboard with more octaves that I need. Highly recommended.
