Drw Transmission & Auto Care

I would recommend DRW Transmission & Auto Care, but I don't want anybody else to know because then they'll get too busy. Good service is good service. They take care of you. They provide shuttle services, which is great. They are race car guys and they know what they're doing. They're very polite--they're good dudes. Donny's wife is in the office and she's good as well. It's really everything about them. I took my first car there five or maybe seven years ago and I ain't going nowhere else. more

I have been using DRW Transmission & Auto Care for the past seven years. They're the best! They are the only ones who work on my truck. I have recommended them to my daughter and to my friends, and everyone has been satisfied so far. Don and his staff are good guys. They are trustworthy and honest. They let you keep the old parts, if you want them. It's also very easy to schedule an appointment for my truck. I just give them a call, and they let me know when they have an opening before they tell me to bring it in. They don't just take my car and get to it in a week or so. The location is very convenient. It's easy to access right from the freeway. By all means, give DRW a try. It will be a fantastic experience. more

I was referred to DRW Transmission & Auto Care by my mother-in-law eight years ago. We've had them do regular maintenance on several of our cars ever since. Although they will not be the cheapest place, they offer the best quality and service for the money. My wife's car broke down once, and they came right to her to pick it up and fix it. They really take the extra steps to ensure that you are satisfied with everything you need. The technicians are all certified and know what they're doing, so you can feel comfortable and confident leaving your car with them. They use factory parts - nothing refurbished. They won't take advantage of you. They are honest and will tell you exactly what you need done. They don't try to add on jobs just to make you pay. They are a great group of people, and the environment of the business is very family-oriented. They have earned our repeat business, and I am always referring people to them. You can try all the cheaper places out there, but Wayne and the guys at DRW Transmission will be the ones to solve your problem. more

I wish I was able to give this shop a 0 star rating. I bought a Chevrolet Impala that had a complete transmission overhaul by DRW Transmission. They charged a total of $2,600 to complete the work. Less than 8,000 miles later, the transmission is having problems going into reverse. When I brought it to their attention, they refused to repair the problem and could careless (obviously, they were already paid). Now, I have taken them to court to have the transmission repaired the correct way at a different shop. If you're looking to spend good money on bad craftsmanship, then look no further than DRW Transmission and Auto Care! Save yourself the time and frustration and find another shop that will actually stand behind their work. Shame on you DRW Transmission. Our contract for the repair to the transmission, and any warranty of such, was with the original purchaser only, as is clearly stated on any warranty forms given to the original purchaser. Michael came to our shop with a threatening attitude right off the bat. Not really the right way to get on our better side, especially if your mission is to try to get something for nothing. It is quite possible we would have worked with Michael had he come to us with a much better attitude, even though we clearly didn't owe him a thing, being that he was not the original purchaser of the repair in question. Michael brought the car to our shop 30 months after the repair with a nonfunctioning odometer, so it's impossible to say for sure how many miles were on the transmission from the time of original repair. Regardless, he was not the original purchaser of the repair, he had no vested interest in the repair from the beginning, and our warranties, as clearly stated on our warranty forms given to the original purchaser, are not transferrable. I think this experience should be a lessen to Michael that if you're looking for a favor from a person or company, it's best to put on your best friendly attitude. Not be belligerent or hostile towards others. To attract bees, it's best to use honey. We choose to do business in a polite and reasonable fashion, and also choose to do business with people who can show the same courtesy back to us. We wish all the best to Michael. We hope he learns better how to relate properly with others. more

They were very nice. The car was in good shape when I got it back, and I have another vehicle they're working on right now. For a small company they even had shuttle service, which was nice. more

Overall, as a shop, DRW Transmission & Auto Care is professional and informative, meaning that they work with you to help you understand what the problem is and how it can be fixed. A lot of the time, you might think a bill will be much higher than what it turns out to be. Also, everyone there is very friendly and if you don't have a ride, they give you one. Most times, they are slammed, and it seems impossible to get in. But they'll try to make it work for their customers. For example, it was pouring and my windshield wipers didn't come on. I called up Wayne and he told me they were swamped, but to come on in anyway. By the time I got there, he had already gotten together 4 different parts based on the possibilities of what could be wrong. He came out himself to do the work for me. He figured it out and got me back on the road with working wipers in no time at all! I'd recommend this shop to anybody! Jeff Shure more

A lot of shops don't want to work on something like that because it's not regular. However, DRW Transmission & Auto Care have no problem with working on it. I had been having problems with a transmission and somebody recommended DRW to me. Transmission work was what they were originally known for. They don't necessarily have to work on the standard cars. They can do things out of the box. DRW Transmission & Auto Care has worked on several cars of mine. They're very good at transmission, and have also done some air conditioning work, which is not that easy. A lot of the work has been on modified transmissions. DRW Transmission & Auto Care is good to do business with. more
