This is a typical chain fast food pizza joint, with decent subs, pizza and salads, but not the best!

Great for natives, People from East Coast may be disappointe 5/10/2010

I'm a local/native and LOVE Dion's! It's my favorite pizza because it's not too greasy and the crust is neither thin nor super thick...just right! The salads are always fresh and large portions. The subs are delish! My husband and his family are from the east coast and eat the subs and salads up like nobody's business, but they feel the pizza is lacking. Probably because it doesn't have pounds of grease lol Either way, my favorite go-to place when in the mood for pizza, salad, or a sub Pros: Pizza, salads, subs, service Cons: people from east coast tend to not like the pizza much more

My favorite Dion's... 2/27/2009

I absolutely love Dion's pizza on fourth st.. Not only is the food great, the employees are always friendly, love to make small talk, and are always smiling. The pizza is amazing, I love new mexican green chile on mine. The subs are always getting better, and the salads are always fresh and made just for you. The employees are mostly teens, and most are valley kids from around the community. They are mature, and will help you if you need anything, such as extras, help out to your car, or to trade in dressings. The refills are free, you can phone in or dine in. late afternoons are usually the busiest, but it's well worth the wait, and again the employees are too nice, probably the nicest of all the Dion's, and always laughing and joking around with each other. What a great atmosphere! Sometimes you can even catch them all singing... Pros: FOOD, great, friendly employees, service is rocking. Cons: busy afternoons. short wait. can run out of dion's ranch! beware. more

Great Family restaurant 11/13/2006

Really good subs and gourmet pizzas. We usually order 1 of each and share them. Many located throughout the city, good for large groups, inexpensive good food. When you need a sure thing. Pros: Conviently located throughout city, many locations Cons: Can get crowded on weekend evenings, call ahead for take-out more

The Most Popular Pizza in Albuquerque 6/20/2006

Dion's pizza is everywhere in Albuquerque, and for good reason. The pizza is more Californian (whatever that means) than New York, but it is still consistently scrumptious-and I prefer New York style pizza. The salads are big and well-composed, and the place is great for groups. I also have a soft spot for the one on Academy because of the Kandinsky prints on the wall-how often do you see those in restaurants? Pros: great for groups, inexpensive more

Best Pizza in the Western Hemisphere 9/5/2003

Every summer my kids and I travel to New Mexico to visit family. We must always make more than 3 visits to eat a Dions. The Ranch Salad and the Pizza baked on a slate are the best ever. I worked for Dions over 16 years ago when they were on Zuni and San Mateo. Now I live in Houston and still after 4 years of hunting for the perfect pizza Joint, have failed to find anything worth eatting. Good luck and it is nice to see the growth of Dions throughout the city. Why not grow over to Houston? more

Best Ever 3/7/2003

Dion's is the best pizza I have ever had. I compare all the other pizza's I have tried to there's and thus far have found nothing that comes close, even in New York. The atmosphere, the friends, the food, its the best. Pros: Salads, Sandwiches Cons: Only in Albuquerque more

THE Pizza Place! 3/6/2003

Without a doubt, Dion's Pizza has both a strategic and a sustainable advantage over the competition. The unique combination of fresh, copious toppings, incredible sauce, perfect dough, and friendly knowledgable staff add to a relaxing atmosphere that is second to none. Handcrafted salads and subs are made fresh and customer requests for slight changes effortlessly accommodated. Background music is maintained at a comfortable volume enabling normal conversation all leading to an enjoyable experience. Table tops, chairs, and surroundings are clean and well maintained both inside and out. Dining at Dion's is a wonderful experience to be shared with family, friends, and colleagues. Pros: Outstanding food, Friendly staff, Great atmosphere Cons: No pizza sub more

burnt pizza 2/10/2003

the pizza is not the greatest food at Dion's but the sandwiches makes up for the pizza, need better chips though. Pros: value of foods, workers are nice, variety of sandwiches Cons: better atmosphere, cleaner bathrooms, soggy potato chips more

undercooked pizza 2/9/2003

The Dions at Coors and Montano undercooks the pizza and doesn't add enough sauce. It's like eating half-baked pita bread with a little tomato juice on it. Disgusting. This is unfortunate because they would normally be my first choice for pizza, but I have stopped going there entirely. Cons: undercooked pizza, very little sauce more

cheap eats 1/9/2003

the pizza ik okay....i like the salads and sandwiches better, but it is reasonably priced!!! Pros: inexpensive, great takeout Cons: crowded, average service more

Dion's Rocks! 12/16/2002

I moved from 'burque to DC 3 years ago and I only miss 4 things: my family, my girlfriend, my friend's and Dion's. Pros: Great Food, Great Prices, Great Service Cons: Need Franchise in DC more

Dions is great 12/6/2002

Dions pizza is by far the best pizza in New Mexico and arguably across the greater American Southwest. Truly maginficent. Pros: Fresh, Delicious, Quick drive-thru Cons: Somewhat expensive, some-what busy more

No Dough 12/6/2002

Pizza crust is the worst. Very doughy. Toppings slid off pizza onto car seat on the way home. Pros: good salads Cons: doughy crusts, pizza undercooked more

not the best 12/5/2002

It's well worth a visit, but it's not the best. Lovely hand tossing flavorful pizza. Atmosphere similar to a well lit pizza hut (which is in line with the prices). Pros: taste, price Cons: atmosphere, location more

duke city 11/27/2002

very good tast, and variety. Would recommend for a family night out on the town. Pros: very good more

Although i do agree that they should be mentioned their food is no as good as i remember especially the pizzas i don't know if theyt changed their food supplier but it shows it the quaility of the food Pros: service, quanity, amience Cons: quaility, freshness more
