No better OB/GYN in the world 9/13/2007

Dr. Lora Larson is the best OB/GYN there has ever been. I started seeing her 24 years ago. If it was not for Dr. Larson's care, I would not have two beautiful boys. All the doctors I had previously gone to told me at 14 years old that I needed to have a hysterectomy. I was given no other options. By the grace of God, my family doctor had heard of a new doctor in Tulsa and wanted to have me try her. She refused to give up on me. I averaged 1 surgery per year but she still kept trying to save my female organs. Thru it all I lost 1 ovary. She never gave up and was always positive. After 14 years of her care I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Four years later I gave birth to another miracle boy. All because this doctor, that supposedly doesn't care about someone's baby, had been determined to help me achieve my lifetime goal....to be a mother!!!!! I will always be eternally grateful to this wonderful doctor and wonderful human being! Pros: Excellent OB/Gyn clinic more

Best OBGYN in Tulsa!!! 3/28/2007

I was very impressed with Dr Lora Larson and her team. I became a patient of Dr. Larson's when I was pregnant with my first child. Dr. Larson anwered all of my questions, showed both interest and concern in the well-being of both my child and myself, and gave me great confidence in my choice of doctors. I work in the medical field and can attest to the different types of doctors and medical ""professionals"" that are in this area. Dr. Larson ranks very high in her abilities, knowledge, experience, and personal service she gives to her patients. I had a difficult pregnancy, and saw her more often than most people need to see their doctors. Even though she is an extemely busy doctor (lots of patients to see), my extra visits were always made available at convenient times for me--I live over an hour away. Her staff were also always helpful and responded quickly when I called with questions. \r Since Dr. Larson works in a group with several other OBGYNs, so you usually rotate through the other doctors to meet all in case one has to cover at delivery etc. Dr. Larson cut my rotations halfway through because of some problems with my pregnancy that she wanted to monitor closely. This proved to me the dedication Dr. Larson has for her patient's safety. I have referred other family members and friends to Dr. Larson also, and they have all reported back wonderful things about her. We all love Dr. Larson!\r Pros: Great customer service. Excellent knowledge and loads of experience. Cons: Sometimes there was a little bit of a wait. No more than any other doc's office though. more

Unprofessional Doctor and not as caring and as concerned for the patient as I felt she should be. 9/27/2006

I was not pleased with Dr. Larson nor her staff. I felt they were not very helpful with my questions and did not provide the care and concern I thought was necessary for an appointment. When I shared my thoughts and opinions I felt they were very unprofessional and inappropriate. Her ability to handle the pressure and stress of a simple diagreement of opinions was not good and I felt demonstrated what could be worse in an emergency situation. I expressed my concern of needing a doctor that I felt would be on the same page as me and I was simple told to go find another one and the dr just got up and left the room. The doctor in my opinon was not capable of handling constructive criticism and was more moody than I was even in my state of being 7 months pregnant. On my way out I asked if I still needed to go get the lab tests for the glucose screening and the doctors nurse was very rude stating ""do what you want""......of which did not show concern for the baby at all regardless of how mad they were with me for wanting to switch doctors. Perhaps you will have a different experience but I don't suggest challenging her opinion....it is not well received. Pros: waiting time was short Cons: concern for patient and quality of care was poor more
