Best

My husband and I fly from Dallas/Ft. Worth and stay at the Broadmoor to frequent this country club as often as we can for the DANCING. And we live in the mecca of Country Western...

Cool Place 5/1/2009

This place has been one of the places I would like to call a hometown bar/night club. Everytime I come home I make it a point to stop by a couple times w/ my buddies. I usually make it a point to get pretty wasted while enjoying listening to people sing all types of music and watch the girls shaking their thang;) This place is definately for a younger crowd, sorry for the older crowd, people is money, and mponey is business. The move downtown was a greta crowd, definately the right move. If a business is going to suceed it's all about location and dowtown is where it should be. This club attracts all different types of people but mainly the younger crowd due to it's location. Colorado College, Palmer High School, Pike Peak Community College, all located downtown. This place rocks and who says it doesn't is just out of date. I told the bartender that I didn't want to make my flight the next morning, last time i was home. I left that place wasted and feeling damn good i just spent what i did. I left with no regrets, that's how a bar should be. more

Poor support staff, need training in public relations 7/7/2007

I have had only one experience here and first impressions are it. Parking at a concert was overcrowded eventhough there were available spaces. The staff not only allowed cars to park on the outer rim blocking legitimatly parked cars, but the bouncers were kind enough to provide a peanut gallery when people had difficulty getting out of the parking lot. And in this case instagate a public hooha that has yet to be rectified. Pros: good band attraction Cons: Service slow and selective, bouncers have no public assistance skills..service is everything. more

GREAT DANCING 2/9/2005

My husband and I fly from Dallas/Ft. Worth and stay at the Broadmoor to frequent this country club as often as we can for the DANCING. And we live in the mecca of Country Western Dancing Clubs. In all of our travels Cowboys Colorado Springs has become our very favorite. The manager runs a very top notch club which is always clean and very appealing. The DJ is FANTASTIC, which we cannot say about many places we have been. We love the double dance floor. It gives you plenty of room for two step or swing not to mention the cha-cha or hip hop. We love it all and plan to visit as often as we can. Pros: dance floor, DJ, Music more

Cowboys=mostly country & good fun 2/4/2005

They do play some of other music types every night however being a country bar they play largely country. Consider this when reading the review by the person who went to a place called Cowboys for rap. Thursday night is Ladies' Night. Friday nights are often the best general night with a full room & a good mix between slow & fast country songs. Saturdays seem to play more slower dancing songs. Sundays have afternoon/evening dance classes then the weekly 18+ night, usually very full with mostly those under 21. The song mix tends to be at least 50/50 country versus hip-hop, if not heavier on the hip-hop side. If you're into all kinds of music it's a good time with a lot of variety. The floor can be packed Sundays. The rest of the week it's usually a welcome change to the 'sardine' syndrome often found at hip-hop clubs. Pros: parking, not too crowded Cons: bit slow mid-week more

I love this bar 7/18/2004

If you like Country music then youll like Cowboys. Usually on the Weekend nights they do play "hip-hop" and stuff like the the "top 40s" but the majority of the time its Country music. Which i would hope that a club called "Cowboys" would mostly have country music. The dance floor is large, they have pool tables, and a kerokie bar too! Its great fun! Pros: Western atmosphere, Great Concerts, Good Management more

Don't go there for hip-hop... 5/26/2003

So me and my friends went to check out teen night Sunday because a mutual friend told us they played hip-hop & R&B...so as soon as midning hits they start playing country and after that it turns into alternative rock, and then techno. What the hell? I can't understand why any self-respecting rap listener would step foot in this place, I sure not I won't make that mistake again... Pros: Large Dancefloor, Parking Cons: Rednecks, Creepy Older Guys, Music more

not wanting of under 21 9/30/2002

Cowboys does have under 21 nights. It is a lot of fun there is free pool. The concerts that ae held for 21 and under are not enjoyable unless you are 21. If you are under 21 you are not allowed onto the dance floor. more

It's Slipping 7/25/2002

The club hasn't changed much over the years, but lately there have been many, the Bull Riding and Mutton Busting are no more, the arena replaced with live music (which isn't all bad, but I Liked the Bull Riding Arena). The DJ, (a local radio personality) plays hip hop and calls it country, his quote " this is counry music if you go to East LA" .. well, we don't live there thank you... We are country and we drive in from Rush, Co to hear country, not what he thinks is 'cool' . The only reason we go there any more is to see the concerts, at least Cowboys still books some good shows. Please don't go out and buy a new cowboy hat and boots just to go .. you look like a city boy who is trying to be something he/she's not, just be yourself! more
