I could write a novel on the novelties that Phantom Canyon has..... but I won't, I'll settle for a short story.
So, we planned our wedding to be officiated and held at Phantom on their third floor banquet facility. It was easy having the wedding and our reception here as well. I highly reccomend it!
It was last January 4th, what a day. Beautiful sunshine in Colorado..... besides marrying my wife, having our event at Phantom was the other best decision! We had the most organized planner ever.... I can't even say enough how the staff worked with us to make everything go exactly the way we dreamt it to.
Heather was awesome, Travis orchestrated the grand finale of food delivery with incredible ambiance and attention, Chef Scotty created beautiful and mind blowing tasty to the palate platters of Medium-Rare Beef Tenderloin with Horseradish Mashed Potatoes and then there was the Thai Chile Cream sauce over Sesame Crusted Atlantic Salmon with the steamed Baby Bok Choy.
We got married! Everything went perfectly. Everyone cried, everyone laughed. We dined. We danced. We all celebrated this beautiful event, together, with family and friends and my most favorite staff in the world (that I truly feel are my family and friends).
If you are planning to get married, screw Vegas, go to Phantom. It's a memory that I will forever cherish!
Pros: Incredible service, food, planning and attention!
Cons: It's not in Oregon!

Another thing we have planned is to go to COWBOYS,
where they play country music and everyone that wants to can dance. They have a large dance floor. There are at least two bars and several pool tables. Even though the age group ranges from 23 to 45, there are younger and older folks there. They are located just off of North Academy Blvd. near Palmer Park Blvd.
They also serve some really great food ... potato skins are great. Thursday nights are lady's night.
They play old and new music and sometimes they have a country singer or group come in and then the admission is a bit more.
Our friends told us that New Year's Eve will be "family night" this year so that is why we thought we might go there.
My first time was just within the last month ... we had a "bacholorette lady's night out" the Thursday before the wedding. It was a fun time.

This is a great place for karaoke! With over 100,000 songs they have just about everything. Not just country either they have rock, metal, and even rap. The host is hilarious and lots of fun. I will be back for sure. If you like to sing this is the place for you. The only problem with the karaoke here is they don't seem to open at the same time every night. Go check it out!!!

My husband and I were excited to try this restaurant after hearing about it from a friend. We both worked in the fine dining industry for over ten years, so we were interested to see how it would measure up. We are definitely going back- the menu was well written, the pricing is well placed for the market, and the wine list has good variety. The one thing that is cautionary is that the present menu is heavily imbalanced on seafood. A lot of the items have some kind of seafood with them. The service was very good, relaxed, yet we never wanted for anything. We have already sent friends of ours to this restaurant, and are looking forward to going back soon!

I have been supporting the Colorado pub scene for many years and you will not find a more comfortable and enjoyable Irish Tavern than Jack Quinn's. The beer on tap is diverse on tasty, the traditional Irish food is top notch and the friendly service is exactly what one expects when going to an established watering hole. This place has been labelled by the Colorado Springs Gazettte as a Colorado Springs Institution and by Travelocity as one top things to do when in Colorado. It really is a must see place whether in town on business, vacation or if you are a local just looking to get your groove on. Good music 4 days a week and centrally located in downtown Colorado Springs.
Slainte!

This is a terrific bar! Mike the bartender makes a mean martini. They have a menu listing all the martinis which there are quite a few of. They even hand stuff their olives with blue cheese! They play soft jazz in the background. Even with the cigar smoking, they do a great job of not allowing the smoke to be overbearing. It is a small space so it fills up quickly but if you like martini's, this is the place to go. Very confortable atmosphere whether you are sitting on the leather couches, tables or bar. Mike is GREAT and also makes the right recommendations whether you are a new martini drinker or an established one. When you order a special cigar, they bring you a special crystal ashtray, cut the tip for you and light it. Very impressive if you smoke cigars! The service is incredible!!

The service was bad but I think that was just our waitress. Everyone else seemed to get their food in a reasonable amount of time. Also, she admitted to putting my food order in wrong so I had to wait even longer to get it redone. HOWEVER, they have really good food, and it can be very inexpensive if you take advantage of the specials. I will go back to check out their Sat. and Sun. morning build your own Bloody Mary breakfast bar, I'm excited!
Pros: inexpensive, specials, great food
Cons: slow service

This place is so much fun. It's definitely good to arrive early, or plan on a little wait, but a nice walk around the lake while waiting is always a good time. The drinks are great, the piano player is fun and the cheese spread is outstanding! I love my evenings at the Golden Bee.
Pros: Cheese spread, English pub atmosphere
Cons: Not enough yard-ale glasses sometimes

A friend (from Atlanta, no less) recommended Ted's, so we gave it a go. Buffalo burger was excellent. The pickles were neat. Definitely worth trying if you want something a little different than Red Robin, Ruby Tuesday, etc.
Pros: They know how to prepare buffalo, everything is fresh
Cons: A little slow on a Sunday night
