Stay away...... 7/23/2015

Very disappointed. We were promised positive redirection and reinforcement for kids . but what we witnessed and experienced was rather complete neglect and less of care by child time for my kid and other kids at the Redmond child time. Kids were left on their own , kids were crying, I noticed kids with runy nose (no one cared to clean it). I seen less than 6 month old crying alone in classroom unattended. My kid just went for 2 days and he was starved for both the days ( he eat fine at home every hour and half).both the days he come home with injuries from daycare and no one even took time to report those things to us and when we let them know about it director of program completely denied it. We were told that we can keep our child either 8-1 or 9-2 before we sign up. But on very first day they said that we have to pick up kid at 12 as 11:45 to 1:45 is nap time (we can not keep kid 8 to 1 but just 8 to 12). On second day when I inquired in detail about what he has been fed and about l more

On second day when I inquired in detail about what he has been fed and about lake of care when he was crying I was told that I should bring him there after 9 ( after breakfast) and pick him up before noon( less than 3 hours.). My concern is not about just time but about promising something which they were not intended to keep. I informed this morning to Redmond center about my concern and when I found their response completely defensive I decided to pull out my child from this center . and still director just looks interestedin collecting money for rest of weeks as per their policy. Do not put it kids here if you have any other option. more

Great Daycare 2/9/2012

I am very wary of daycares because of all the horror stories you hear in the news but when I took a tour of this daycare I could tell it was a good environment. Recently they have hired a few new employees and I believe the director Stephanie is new as well. Both of my kids ages 3 and 1 are enrolled and they LOVE it! Every day my son gets excited that he gets to ""go to school"". They have a cool touchscreen computer in his preschool room and they just got all new furniture and toys throughout the building. It is a very comfortable place and you can tell the staff really care about the kids. They also keep it extremely clean. The teachers are so good about telling you what your child did that day in detail, you can tell they actually pay attention to your kids. My daughter who is 1 loves her teachers so much and I have never had any problems at all. My son who is 3 like I said loves going and they provide much needed structure for kids his age. They are also really good at dealing with his tantrums in a way that I think every parent can agree with, the redirect and tell you exactly what happened when you get there. I really like their computer system and how easy it is to automatically pay online also. I highly recommend this daycare, it is like a family. more

Very happy child and parents :) 10/5/2011

We have had our son at Childtime Redmond since age 5 months (now 2.5 years). He has loved being there, and we as parents have been very happy as well. Interaction with teachers from infant, via toddler, to pre-school have been very good. The current director who joined mid-2011 has made a great impression, with attention to detail, order, and making the place appear very professional. We're not thinking of changing daycare anytime soon :). more

Infant program at Childtime is great! 8/11/2011

I just started my 4 1/2 month old daughter there upon returning to work, and I have been thrilled so far! Stephanie is the new director there, and has such a great job welcoming us into the Childtime family. My first two days were a normal but rough transition for both me and my daughter, but she and the assistant director, Amy, were incredibly supportive by letting me call in multiple times during the day to check in, and even sent me photos via text when my daughter finally napped and woke up smiling..such a relief for a first time mom! I absolutely LOVE Amanda in the infant room, and already feel so comfortable leaving my daughter each day in her care. She has done a great job to observe and act on my daughter's cues, not against any set schedule. They've also been supportive of me continuing with breastfeeding/pumping. I originally went to Childtime on the recommendation of a friend who took both of her kids there and also loved it. It's still early days, but I'm already feeling co more

New energetic director seems to be turning things around. 8/9/2011

This was the fourth preschool I toured in the search for a pre-K program for my son. It was defintely the cleanest facility of the four. The director is brand new and has great energy. She made me feel welcome and comfortable. She wants to bring in an auxillary karate class, which my son would absoloutely love. The pre-K teacher has been there for 16 years and seems to love her job and the kids. I'll update my review once we have been there for a while, but I am absolutely excited about sending my son there.\r \r I am surprised to read all the negative reviews. I think this place must be turning around... more

Former employee 10/7/2010

It is an awful place. One should see the director brag about pictures of infants in pretend cartons. The caption: Children for Sale. She thought that it was so creative. Doesn't she know that child slavery still exists throughout the world, and is a painful American memory? Hmm...and she is an educator. One teacher barely spoke English and has been there for over nine years. She would put blankets over children's heads during nap time. She refused to create lesson plans. The Director told me that she did not know this was going on. The Assistant Director was supposed to mentor me but never did. The Director had her, and others, in her office, chatting away. Often, teachers would mock parents who were from other countries. The two year old teacher, a former church teacher, threatened to take a blanket away from a child, if he did not nap. I did not stay long, but wish I could relay this information to parents. I did contact the main headquarters. There are other fine sch more

Smoking, talking on cell phones all day 9/23/2010

I don't take my children here, but I live just on the other side of the fence, so I hear everything that happens. The "teachers" are almost always yelling at the children, and on one occasion I heard one of them telling a crying child who was asking for his/her mom, that "Mommy isn't here, so get over it." There are always children crying, and it never stops. Someone is always getting hurt, being yelled at, or berated. The "teachers" both talk outside on their cell phones and smoke cigarettes well within twenty feet of the children. I thank God every day that I don't send my children there. more

My experience at child time redmond 10/13/2009

I worked for child time in oct 2007 and at first I wanted to quit because of the first director. then she quit and the assiant director became the new director and she had to leave due to family problems. then we got the director from renton and we thought she was nice when she officailly became the director of redmond the claws came out she was mean to everyon except for certian people and when we asked her a question she would give us attitude. other then that the teachers were nice they neeed to formally trained on to handle children one day when I child psych. professor came to obsevere me for lab she noticed a teacher berated a child in front of the whole class. and then some of the parents would treat like we were second class citizens. they were too good to talk to us. a lot of parents don't know that some of us have associate and bachlerlors degrees. i just had enough of what was going on and I left in oct. 2008 I have not worked in child care since child time pretty much ruine more

Beware , before you choose the Redmond WA daycare for your kid 3/3/2008

I had my kid start in the daycare in Redmond, WA and in just 2 weeks I decided to look elsewhere. My kid has started enjoying the new place within days of joining this. The teachers in the Childtime daycare in Redmond are rude to the children and I have seen on quite a few occasions the teachers openly rebuke them. Not sure if they have any earlier experience taking care of kids.Apart from my kid, I have seen quite a few of the others having a tough time in this place and always cry when they are dropped off here in the mornings. This is even after months of being in the daycare. more

Worst daycare!!! 3/2/2008

Childtime daycare in Redmond is the worst daycare my child has ever been to. The teachers are not caring at all. My child used to hate going there and would cry everyday and complain about the teachers. I would not recommend this daycare to any parent. more
