Very great Customer Service 2/14/2012

I recently went for my B-Day dinner and we had a total of 21 people. 12 children and 10 adults. Due to the number of people when I called to make reservations I had have a pre - fixe menu, which was all good. When my family and I arrived that night i'm not sure how it was mixed up but they made enough food for 21 adults. So initially I though it was gonna turn out bad because I knew 5 and 6 year old were not gonna eat all the food we ordered. Im sure it was just miscommunication, but I spoke with the manager and I MUST say the waiter and the manager were really accommodating and it was very NICE to have ended my night with great pleasure. This food is delicious, and I am very picky when comes to italian. The portions are huge, so come with an appetite. It's a cool place to go with your whole family...love the italian decor! more

Picky Italian loves it here! 6/5/2008

I am very particular about the Italian food I eat but this food is great! Large family style portions so be sure to share OR order from the one section on the menu thats specifically for individual people. I've tried a bunch of different dishes and they were all fabulous. I took my parents here- my mom is even more particular than me and they both loved it. The decor is SO fun to look at- its unbelievable that they have so much Italian stuff! Definitely not your typical chain restaurant! more

Bucca de Bland 4/18/2008

The food is completely bland. The pasta usually comes out half cooked, and the sauce tastes like spagetti o's. If you are in the mood for a lot of high priced food with mediocre flavor, I'd cook at home. more

Good Italian Food, Great with a Large Group 7/13/2007

I have been here 3 times and I would say it is pretty good, not great. It is great for a large group, so that might make the difference. The Chicken Parm is good and so is the Salmon. I would skip the fresh mozzerella marinara. I would also skip the tiramisu, which none of us were a big fan of. Overall, tasty but nothing that out of the ordinary. You need to be a large group to enjoy this place. Great for birthdays and other events. This place has great pizza! It has also the most loaded tiramissu! Pros: perfect for group dining Cons: wait up to 45 minutes more

If you're in the mood for serious italian food - this is probably not the place to go to. But if you're looking for a good time with a large group of people - it's a good choice. Very festive atmosphere - and you'll get full. Pros: Value, Atmosphere Cons: Medicore food more

Hit and Miss 11/29/2004

Sometimes it's a hit, sometimes it's a miss. I have gone to Buca a handful of times and I would have to say half the time I have had horrendous experiences there whereas the other half has been okay. Buca is family friendly so expect a lot of screaming children (I didn't know children came like that...all screaming). The food is bland and the service is also a hit or miss...sometimes okay sometimes not. Word of advice: specify whether or not you want anchovies on your caesar salad. Half the time they don't ask and put them on your salad and then suggest you "pick them off" if you didn't want them. Pros: Inexpensive, Good for large groups Cons: , Neglectful staff more

OVER RATED!!! 2/3/2004

This place sucks. Okay, maybe if I was going with a big group of college students it might be fun. That is if you enjoy shrieking kids, bland food, and wine that tastes like grape juice. People who like this food must be used to getting their Italian food out of a can. the pasta was overcooked, cold, and chewy. The tomato sauce tasted like ketchup.
