An average bookstore, nothing special here. Not worth the trip (& parking) to Gateway. Difficult to get help, and unless you're shopping for more cheap bargain books, don't both...

Barnes & Noble Booksellers is a pricy treat 11/2/2009

I read the other review and had to post one myself. Becuase who needs a review from people hater? Not me. I also love th location of the bookstore, and I have read many other reviews (just google barnes and noble salt lake) that agree that the laughing kids playing in the mall is a very uplifting atmosphere. 3 things you want to know: 1 - customer service 4 stars - Barnes and Noble, like any other succesful chainstore has learnedthe alue of customer service and taught their employees well. 2 - selection 5 stars - You will almost never find a book that you want that they don't have or can't get with 3 days. 3 - price 2 stars - Although you will most certainly pay for their service and selection. The book prices at this store are very high. more

The only good thing at the Gateway 11/14/2008

The location is convenient for me. Though I hate the Gateway, and all the angsty tweens that wander the wind-tunnel trying to shop away their puberty. \r Barnes and Noble is of course full of excellent books. I have a problem with wanting to buy too much whenever I'm there. The staff is always friendly. I've talked to a few of them though, and found out they're sorely underpaid. more

How Can You Go Wrong? 3/12/2003

How can you go wrong at a Barnes & Noble. Especially when you walk in and the first thing you notice is the great smell of coffee from Starbucks. This Barnes & Noble is a great location and there's tons of parking. Also a great place to just grab a Caramel Frappuccino and read a book! Pros: Starbucks, Atmosphere, Location Cons: Service, Layout more

I could spend hours in here! 8/1/2002

I love this place. I love to read, and Barnes and Noble has almost anything I want. I spend forever in there, and Dakota is my favorite. He is nice, and knows tons about books. He's great to talk to and very friendly. He makes me want to go there everyday and spend all my money. :) Pros: Dakota!, Chairs, Great atmosphere Cons: The Gateway gets cold, Starbucks (yuck), No Harold and Maude more
