This is one of the best pub dining experiences in Indy, and can hold its own even against the pubs I've experienced in London and Oxfordshire, England, and Edinburgh, Scotland. Cozy atmosphere, traditional English pub style decor, great dark ales, the absolute BEST Bloody Mary/Bloody Caesar from here to Boston, Mass, and excellent fish & chips that come out hot & crispy. Though there are a couple other places that might have better English style bitters, this is the place to go if you want great English/Irish Ales *and* great food. Service is always warm and friendly, but if you can't handle waiting a minute or two for a waiter the moment you walk in, you're just impatient and you shouldn't bother with a real restaurant - go to McDonald's or try waiting in the customs queue at Heathrow and you'll never complain about waiting ever again! Here there are no clueless 17-year old hostesses who don't know the difference between a pub and a bar, let alone ale from lager. When you get your waiter they know what they are talking about.
Pros: English pub atmosphere, great polite service, wonderful cuisine, I don't go for trendy
Cons: could use a few more choices on bitters
