Best

couple of my buddies got us bottle service all night and we reserve our own section and all night we had blast. Great places to have birthday party that's for sure.

Agenda 7/17/2010

I've been to Agenda a few times and it is hit or miss for me. The music can be great but it depends on the nights that you go. It's pretty standard in price and there's nothing special about this place that sets it apart from any other club in downtown. Surprisingly it is still around and has not shut down like every other club that does. I hear that on Sundays they place reggae music and that sounds cool because often San Jose clubs play nothing but hyphy music. It's nice to hear different music for a change. I Believe that there is also a salsa night which sounds fun. If you're looking for a standard club to go to in downtown San Jose, then I would pay a visit. If you're looking for something more upscale, then I would go to Santana Row or Los Gatos. more

Best Parties Ever! 10/27/2008

Great source of entertainment! Best restaurant in town! Both a family-friend place as well as the 21+ crowd. I love Agenda! Pros: Music, Food, and Entertainment more

New Year's Eve Special Menu 1/13/2008

I've never eaten at Agenda before but heard it was excellent. What my daughter and I ordered was far from it. More like assembly line food than gourmet. To be honest some of the items on our plates were unrecognizable - even the server was unable to tell us what we were being served!!! more

Watch out for this place! 7/14/2007

Was at this restaurant for the first time on Friday night in group of 20 celebrating a birthday party. Food was served sporadically where some people got to eat while others waited up to 45 minutes. When the food did arrive at least six of the plates were cold and 2 were plain wrong. Service was lousy the server didn't even ask us how everything was or apologize for bad dishes. Worst part and this is absolutely a true story there was an (blank) on the floor next to our table -- completely freaked out all the girls made most of us lose our appetite. When we brought this to the atttention of our server he promptly took care of it and said he would significantly reduce our bill, but when the bill came nothing was done. Had to speak to the head manager/owner some French guy who said the best he could do was knock off two steaks and his reasoning was because they were served very late in the dinner. Didn't care there was a (blank) crawling on the floor or the dishes came out cold. Didn't even care what his server told us about adjusting the bill. Since it was my girlfriends friends birthday I didn't push too much, finally guy budged a little bit and knocked 50 off the check. Also tried to give us free passes upstairs... gee thanks for letting us go upstairs to your club for free after we suffered through this dinner at your restaurant. Be careful out there with so many good places to eat and party don't waste your time, money and health on these guys. Pros: none Cons: Everything except the alcohol. more

great bar and service 7/5/2006

The bar is a great place to ahng out and have a nice meal while watching the hip flow in and out the door. The food is top notch and the service professional and friendly. Pros: service and food Cons: parking, the room can be loud at times. more

Sunday night(reggae)at Agenda is the best!! 8/25/2005

I have one thing to say about Agenda on Sunday night, OFF THE HOOK!!! I've been going out downtown since the DB Cooper,PAradise Beach and Oasis days. I must admit Sunday night at Agenda is something else. The atmosphere is beautiful along with the people. If u want to see a very diverse crowd, then Sunday night is your place. The vibe is incredible!! I must admit Dj Nappy has been making that place jump for a long time! If your looking for a good time, check out Reggae Sundays at Agenda!! more

must go there, the best yet 7/12/2005

great live jazz, great service and even better food. they seem to be changing for better and better.they must be doing something different. the service was exelent and food is always great and prices are reasonable, I have always gone to the restaurant and I tried the club for the first time. 3 levels with 3 djs and only one cover . can't get any better. I highly recommend trying AGENDA. Pros: good food, great service, great show more

great place for dinner & jazz 7/5/2005

I have been going to AGENDA for a long time, and love their music on the patio. I took my girlfriend there this past weekend for dinner. she loved everything, specialy the filet and i had the pasta and prawns((FANTASTIC)). we watched the first show, the service and food were awsome, so we decided to stay for the second show. we had a great time. and their new manager is friendly and professional. I highly recommended. Pros: great service, fantastic food, JAZZ on the patio more

AGENDA, LIVE JAZZ LOVERS AND FOOD LOVERS 6/30/2005

AGENDA is the best place for dinner shows. We went there on july/24 for the LAVAY SMITH show. the food was fantastic and service was great(Considering how packed the place was), after dinner we sat on the patio for the show and had the best time. I highly recommend AGENDA for any and everyone. The food is exelent and the prices are very reasonable. BOTTOM LINE is, you will be happy you went there. I just found out that they have live jazz, every friday and saturday night. I know we will go back and you should too. AGENDA is the place to be friday and saturdays. Pros: LIVE JAZZ, GREAT FOOD, GOOD SERVICE more

I disagree... 6/7/2005

I just want to say that my girl and I have been going to the Agenda for a while and we've had a lot of good times. We love the food there and we enjoy sitting on the patio listening to the jazz bands. A lot of times we stick around and hang out in the club to dance. Yeah the crowd isn't always the greatest, but it's no different from the crowd at the other clubs. As for the cops hanging out front at the end of the night...well it is downtown, so I would rather they're there than not. We actually feel safer that way. Overall we had a great time and we'll be back. Pros: Great food Cons: can get crowded, parking more

Ditto 5/23/2005

I agree with the "NOT Fun" review. In addition to the "shady" crowd it was suffocatinngly hot upstairs and the establishment was too cheap to turn on the AC, did they leave it off on purpose to make people leave so they could let more people in and collect more cover charge?! Or both!! (Insider's tip- it's both) Pros: None Cons: NO AC more

Not fun 5/15/2005

I used to go to the Agenda every weekend. What's changed? EVERYTHING. The food is sub par. The service. You can't even find your server to BEG for it. Free admission to the nightclub with dinner? Who cares. The owners seem to be catering to a worse crowd each week. They've got plenty of security, but it doesn't keep me feeling safe. The only good thing about the place is the bald bartender upstairs. He's been there for years. Always quick and friendly. Ever wonder why there are so many police cars lined up on the streets on weekend nights? Look at the crowd out front of Agenda. You'll see why. Pros: Upstairs Bartender Cons: Parking, Bad Crowd, Bad Atmosphere more

lackluster food with the jazz 9/8/2003

I went to the Agenda on a Saturday night and sat on the patio to listen to the live jazz while having dinner. Except for the bread basket (which is good and filled with a variety of breads, including crispy crackers, focaccia, and sourdough), the food was very disappointing. At our table, we ordered 3 pastas and all were bland and overcooked (not al dente). The tuna tartare appetizer was good in portion, but the fish was not fresh and it was way too spicy. Desserts were unimaginative (mud pie, banana cream pie) and average tasting as well. The upsides are the atmosphere (the patio jazz) and prices. Except for a steak priced at $25, all entrees were $10-17, most hovering around $12. However, some of the appetizers were just as expensive (around the $9-12 range). more

Agenda 6/29/2003

I ate at Agenda for the first time this weekend while in town for a meeting. I was not overly impressed. The service was horrendously slow (and it was not busy). The outdoor patio is so-so, the music was so loud no one could speak. Food was very good and value was good, but I doubt I'd go back with so many other great places to try. more

Nice atmosphere and great food 3/24/2003

This spot seems to be "undiscovered" as a restaurant as it is still not packed on weekday evenings. The food is really good. I had the pumpkin raviolis and my husband had the porkchop. Both were very good. They also have an extensive wine selection and the service was excellent. more

Make this your Agenda 1/16/2003

Affodable, comfortable, and east to get to. You can't go wrong here. more

Great Place to meet! 1/9/2003

The Agenda has a wonderful mixologist and great food along with a fab atmosphere. During the spring/summer months they make an incredible "Fruit Infused Martini", had one during the summer made from peaches. To die for. Cons: terrible parking, outdoor too noisy more

Disappointed. Bad overall. 12/19/2002

We sat in a parking line for 2 hours and then got into a terrible screaming match with 3 people. We spent 3 hours total in the parking lot. Everyone was yelling and cursing. The theater seems to allow cell phones. 4 people received and ANSWERED their calls during the movie. I was appalled. Pros: The movie ended, I was able to leave Cons: parking, people yelling, phones are allowed more

Go To The Early Shows 11/28/2002

We live in the neighborhood and love to go to this theater. But parking and access off I-10 anytime after 8:00pm is a real experience. We go to the early evening and maybe the afternoon showings. Great place to hang out and people-watch in the adjoining mall. Food? Adobe OK; Surfer's Paradise Ugh; Red Robin OK. Try to eat before you go to the movie. The theater has good popcorn, though.Final Word: better than most Houston theater places. Pros: Clean, picked up, Lots of lighting, People watching Cons: Not-so-good food, Access a hassle more
