Food is okay, but the service is horrible 9/25/2005

The people that work there do not speak, nor are they nice. When they bring the food to the table, they throw it on the table. The food is okay for $1.99. The funny thing is I never expected to spend so much money to pay for a meal. Seeing that the food is $1.99, you would think nothing of it, but this is smaller portions too. It is nice to go with friends to chat over the food, and order more to possibly share. Parking is also difficult. more

Cheap eats 8/4/2005

The food here is affordable, there's only a few menu items to choose from, but it's good value for your money. Most of the items are $1.99, but I prefer the fried chicken meal. The fried chicken meal costs a little bit more, $2.75, but I think it's worth it. The chicken is moist, crispy, and the rice is tasty. I like the sauce that comes with the meal. The steak with rice is not a bad second option. The restaurant is reasonably clean, and best of all, it's dirt cheap. more

$1.99 Restaurant is a great place to eat lunch or dinner. Even thought their menus are limited to 9 dishes, but every single of those dishes are great. For under $5.00 with tip and drink, you can enjoy a great meal at $1.99 Restaurant. My favorite dish here is the steak with rice. more

Great Deal 6/25/2005

199Restaurant has the greatest deal around. They have a wide choice of food to pick from. All their food are $1.99. The best part about 199Restauran is you can call ahead and have a table ready for you. Or you can call ahead and order it to go. I have eat at 199Restaurant for a while and always keep coming back for more. more

Super Cheap Restaurant 6/24/2005

I love to take my family to eat here. $1.99 Restaurant is a great place to eat. They offer 9 dishes to pick from. My favorite dish is their half chicken with rice. For $1.99, you can’t ask allots, but at this restaurant, 1.99 for a dinner plate where else where would cost you $10. more

Good Restaurant 6/20/2005

$1.99 Restaurant is a great place to eat for lunch or dinner. Everything in there is $1.99. For two buck, it will make you full. My favorite dish there is the steak with rice. I don't know how they can stay in business because the steak is huge and very nicely cook. I would recommend it everyone so drop by and give it a try. more

For a little over two buck you can get a full meal. I love to eat here. Their famous dish is the half chicken with rice. If you ask anyone who eat there, what is there famous dish, they would said half chicken. The funny part is, they raise the price on the chicken. But it okay, it the only place who make chicken like that. more

I like to eat at 1 99 Restaurant because everything cost only $1.99 per plate. Their plate will fill you up. My favorite plate is the half chicken with rice, it so good. The price on that plate has gone up to $2.75. The good feature about 1 99 Restaurant is you can call ahead and tell them what you want. Then later drop by and pick it up to go. It has save me times. more

$1.99 Restaurant is the cheapest restaurant out there. I love to eat here. For a meal, it would cost me only $1.99. I can pick from steak, 1/2 chicken, and many other choices. I love their 1/2 chicken, it the best around and no one else around make it like that. I would like to recommend $1.99 Restaurant to everyone. more
