When I moved down to Southern Cali, I had to find a new hairstylist. I went to several salons recommended by friends, but I wasn't happy until I visited this place, which was also recommended by one of my friends. The stylist who did my hair that day, knew exactly how to style my hair. I am very picky but she did a great job. One drawback is that she didn't speak too much English, so it's hard to communicate with her. In fact, not too many of them spoke English.
I have tried different location of Kim Sun Young, but I always end up going back to this location. I have tried different stylishs at this location, and they are all excellent. In addition, this location is friendlier towards non-Koreans like myself. They do they walk-in, but be sure to make an apt if you have a stylish in mind. They get booked, especially on weekends.

The cosmetic store specially targets Korean women of all ages; however, they will be able to help you even if you do not speak Korean. The workers will try to sell you as much cosmetics as possible at premium costs. Be smart, be choosey, and don't be afraid to ask to try it on. The workers are more than willing to help you out.

I went this weekend to get the Yuko done to my hair and was very disappointed. I was the first one there so it started off ok. The owner was attentive until she started getting customers. After that she just started rushing the process and just wanted me out of there. I came in with wavy, frizzy hair and left with straight, frizzy hair. All she did was give me exuses for the way my hair turned out instead of fixing it and just basically wanted me out so she could move on with the others. I will never go back there and wouldn't recommend anyone to go either.
Pros: They opened up early for me.
Cons: Not very clean, not very professional.
