Review content:
There are only two places to get Italian food in Auburn, Johnny Carino's and Provino's. I prefer Johnny Carino's. I find them to be much more reasonably priced and their portions are bigger. I have had the Lasagna, shrimp scampi and the ravioli. They were all wonderful. The shrimp scampi is my favorite, it is a large portion and comes with a light butter/wine sauce. Ofcourse, bread and salad come with every meal. They give you a loaf of Italian bread and then make an olive oil and freshly groud pepper dip for it. It's wonderful! The only problem I've had is that the smoking section is in the bar and, when the restaurant is not too busy, the smoking section servers are also the bartenders. Because their main job is not to serve they often forget about you so the service will seem slow and your drink will sit empty for a little while. During dinner hours this is not usually a problem.
