Review content:
Our recent experience at Sushi Sam's was pretty dismal. We went with a party of 7 and made reservations. We placed our orders and we waited about 30 minutes before everyone started getting their sushi. We were sitting in the private room, which was nice because it was quieter, but bad because our waitress would forget about us and it was impossible to get somebody to help us. When our food DID arrive, we were a bit disappointed. The sashimi tasted awful - resembling something that came out of a can. It had a metal taste to it and was near frozen. The Dragon and Rainbow rolls were decent, but nothing really special. The Volcano Rolls were spicy, which is a bit unusual for this dish, but pretty good. For desert, we ordered the Tempura Ice Cream, which was delicious, but the tempura batter was a bit thick. The ice cream was probably the best thing about the meal. We spent $86 for the two of us and left feeling pretty unsatisfied. Instead of eating here, drive on 114 East for about 15 minutes and eat at Blue Fish. Pros: Good dessert Cons: Service was lacking, food took forever to arrive, fish tasted awful
