Saito Japanese Restaurant 12/31/2006

My husband and I have been on vacation this week and we like to go and try new (to us) restaurants at lunch time. When we can enjoy our solitude away from the kids! We wanted to try a sushi restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle. The restaurant is called Saito. When we first arrived and were seated at our table, the waitress came over and we ordered. She was very slow to deliver the drinks and that made me concerned because the restaurant wasn't busy at all at that time. It turns out that she was slow because she was concerned about the strength of the iced tea and was trying to make it right! We ordered the tempura appetizer which was light, crunchy and delicious. We also each ordered the lunch sushi plate. It came with a wonderful miso soup and a salad that was very tasty and interesting. The sushi was fresh and not "fishy" tasting at all. A very enjoyable meal. more
