WAY overpriced and poor treatment of animals. I visited the Evergreen Pet store two days in a row at different times so I would say that I have a pretty good idea of how these animals are taken care of. Both times I visited, the kitten's litter box was filthy, birds' water was filthy, the puppies were separated from one another in tiny cages filled with shredded paper. The animals at Petco and Petsmart are treated WAY better. At least they have a bed to sleep on. The Guinea Pigs had a bigger pen to run around in than the poor puppies. I have NO idea why they would separate puppies from one another even if they are different breeds. Puppies get along with each other just fine and love to play and run around with each other. The prices are RIDICULOUS. A simple internet search will return all kinds of dog breeders who have the same kinds of dogs WITH AKC papers and a guarantee for sometimes hundreds of dollars less. I feel so sorry for the animals and if I had the money I would buy so many of them just to get them out of the poor condition that they are in. At the same time, it would kill me knowing that these people would be getting paid to treat the animals the way that they do. Keeping animals in such close, unclean quarters is how disease and bacteria spread. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that all of these animals are sick in some way.
