I really had big expectations for this service, I had my ""interview"" with Ronni Schilling and she promised the sky and the stars... and that is what bothered me the most, they should be upfront and only sign up the right people. Ronni also told me that the membership ""pays for itself"" with all the discounts I get for the events, LIE! Paintball was $45 through E&A and when I got there I had to pay for extra things so I ended up paying more than if I would have shown up there myself. 2nd Event was the same thing, no discount. I am 33 years old, and my specific questions were: 1. What is the age range of the members. 2. What is the female/male ratio for the events. 3. How many people attend per event on an average. 4. What happens if I don't like the service.
1. Ronni told me that I am a perfect candidate because the majority of the members are my age. LIE. I went to 2 events and most of the people were 45 and over. They are all nice people but I didn't pay $1,500 to meet and hangout with people 10+ years older than me that we don't have anything in common.
2.Ronni told me that they have more females attending to the events, most of the time is 50-50 and in rare events 40-60 depending on the event. LIE. The 1st event I attended only 8 people showed up, 2 females (1 was the event coordinator). When I called to complain she said ""you can call the office to check how many people are going, age range and the male/female ratio"". So I asked her about it for my next event and she said ""26 people, most your age range, 50-50 male/female ratio"" LIE!!! She lied right on the phone! The second event was 80-20 ratio (again one of the girls was the event coordinator) and the AGE RANGE AGAIN! Most of the crowd was over 45!
3. Ronni told me that so many people attend to the events that sometimes they have to turn people away and every time you meet new people. The 2 events that I attended had poor attendance as another person mention in their reviews. I talked to other members and they told me they usually see the same people at each event, and in fact 95% showed up for the 2nd event.
4. Ronni told me if you don't like the service you can stop at any time and you will get a refund for the unused time. LIE. I called her to complain and cancel my membership and she said ""you can't cancel it, sorry it doesn't work that way"" and I replied but you told me! and she said ""that is only if you would pay everything in full, not payment plans"". I was really furious... but I was calm, I told her that I was just informing her very nicely that I am canceling my membership, she said ""we will send this to collection then"". So I hung up the phone and I disputed the charges with my credit card and I will take this to a small court if needed as it's outrageous! A complain with the BBB it's on its way.
So... if you are in my age range.... DON'T SIGN UP! You will be disappointed! If you are over 45, this might be for you, but don't let them steal your money! They must live to the promise of their services, if they don't, don't steal people's money! it's not fair. Be upfront and tell new members what they will expect or not.
Just to end... their website is outdated, if you forget your password you can't even reset your password online, you have to call the office, and if you are calling after hours... you're doomed until next business day. Their website doesn't tell you how many people have signed up, age range or sex for the events. Seriously they charge so much money and their website looks like if it was made 10 years ago.
