Wow! I am stunned to read these negative reviews. I have used Manhattan Textiles several times over the years, and have always had a great experience! I guess it can seem a little pricey if you are used to shopping at places like JoAnns or Calico - but come on...you go to Manhattan to find something truly beautiful and unique. I've even scored a few really great deals with remnants for smaller projects! Plus, I really like that they don't pounce on you the minute you walk through the door. I like to go in and browse until something catches my eye. (So many pretty things!) Hard to do that at other shops, when you are fending off the staff. For the people complaining about a 20% restocking fee...that has never been my experience. Was it a special order? Then, that might make sense.
