Ate here for a early dinner. Ordered 2 Mojito's to drink, potato chips and blue cheese dip as an app. The drinks came in a surprisingly small glass and were not very good, the only flavor besides rum in it was a very bitter taste and the drinks were very pricey. The chips and dip were very good with a spicy kick added by the BBQ 'magic dust' and the dip was very creamy with a nice tang of blue cheese.
For entrees I order a half-rack of the Texas salt and pepper ribs and my wife ordered the sampler platter (ribs, pulled pork, chicken and sausage) and we got coleslaw, mac and cheese and fries as sides. My ribs were flavorful and smokey but very dry, it's likely we got the tail end of the lunch service ribs (it was a very early dinner). My wife reported everything she had was good but had the same opinion on her ribs that i had. I only got a taste of the sausage which was very spicy. HTe pulled pork did come out already sauced which she did not mind but annoys me to no end.
The coleslaw was very good (a vinegar based slaw not milky like most places) and the mac and cheese was very creamy (and the blisters of burnt cheese were really good). The fries were average and pretty blah.
Overall the food was very good but at these prices that's to be expected and the slight mistakes become magnified. The bad (and horridly overpriced) drinks and the dry ribs take away from the overall meal. If it hadn't been for those missteps (or better prices) this could have easily gotten 4 or 5 stars from me.
Pros: sides were good, bbq can be good, great service
Cons: bad drinks, ribs can be dry if ordered at the wrong time of day, pricey
