After renting from the J.L. REI Company, I had a walk-thru with Joanne from J.L. Rei Company on August 31, 2011. I left the house immaculate, professionally painted with their color paint/brand and cleaned also. Joanne stated that I should receive my security deposit of $2,350.00 after I paid my last utility bill but they had up to 30 days to hold my security deposit. After paying my last utility bill in September I called and received the company's voice mail and received no call back. I followed up several times until I received a call from Joanne on October 3, 2011 telling me to call her on her cell. Once I called she stated that the J.L. REI Company didn't have enough money to return my deposit (which she agreed I was due) - that she could send me only half and send the other half in two-weeks. I told her to send a promisary note. The next day she sent $1,175.00. Two-weeks later I received no money. I have called both Joanne and the J.L. Rei company almost daily, only to receive a voice mail. As of November 4, 2011 I still have not received the $1,175.00 owed to me and have received no call. If the J.L. Rei company doesn't have enough money to pay a tenant their security deposit of $2,350.00, they should not be running a company.
