one of the best meals I have had on grub hub

Worst

I went for dinner, and I went for the BBQ sampler -- sausage, BBQ pork, BBQ chicken, and ribs. Boy was that a lot of food for only $11.95! The ribs were a little chewy and fatty...

I have eaten here many times, alone, with clients, with friends and in groups. This experience was embarrassing. We took a colleague in from Paris for what we billed as a 'backyard american experience' and what we got was a great example of bad food and 'french' service. First, we ordered sides that never showed. When we mentioned that half way through the entree that we would not need the sides, they offered to bring them -- this was compounded by the fact that the sides served with our steaks were cold. The only thing that kept the steak warm was the mushrooms we ordered as a topping. When we mentioned that the food was cold, we were offered dessert -- something cold to go your already cold entree. Wow, a new concept in food from a GRILL. \r \r We are going home to roll our Weber Grill out for the next yard sale - this restaurant has seen its rise to popularity and the FAD is now over --- look elsewhere for a good meal with colleagues. more

Terrible. My food was over an hour late and was all cold. Brisket was super dry, meatloaf was super dry, mashed potatoes cold, corn cold, cornbread dry and cold. Absolutely no compensation for the late delivery either. Never will order from here again. more

The food was cold and it looked like it has been sitting for a couple of hours. The beef skewers were disappointing and didnt taste like the same skewers that were served to us when we visited Weber 2 weeks ago. They were dry and lacked flavor. more

Best Steaks, just pricy 5/17/2011

I love their steaks, but the price associated with each steak is absurd. I can only eat here a few times a year, but it is definitely worth it every time. more

Good chow 5/10/2011

We started with the Fire-Roasted Artichoke & Spinach Dip, which was just okay. Seemed not-fresh, like maybe it was old. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the fries were piping hot, but I would have expected a larger pattie for all the toppings and huge kaiser roll. Id go again to try something different. more

Weber Grill always has great food. I have visited locations in multiple areas. While people tend to complain about the price, I think it is just right. For the high quality food that you can receive here, a higher price point is well worth it. more

Wonderful restaurant 6/21/2010

A fine family restaurant with a huge list of food. Its better to make reservations first because its quite popular. One of friend suggested me Weber Grill Restaurant and now I am suggesting to all. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant. Service was amazing, very fast and food was also very tasty. more

Great American Food 3/23/2010

I absolutely love Weber Grill. I have been there at least three times this past year. The wait staff is always pleasant and receptive to your needs. They bring out your food and drinks quickly. Every time I have been at Weber Grill, I order the onion curls as an appetizer. The dipping sauce as well as the onion curls are a delicious combination, especially the spicy mayo. For the entree, I always order the beef brisket, it reminds me of my uncle's home-made brisket, and he is an amazing cook. They put just enough bbq sauce on the meal. As a side, my boyfriend and I always split the garlic mashed potatoes. Everything is always delicious and I sometimes get cravings for the food. Just writing this review is making me hungry for Weber Grill. Pros: Best Brisket, Best Onion Curls, Best Garlic Mashed Potatoes more

Great food, even better service 3/3/2009

I went with a group of four to celebrate a special occasion. Our service was absolutely flawless. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were great. I have heard that this place was full of tourists and not to go there. I disagree. The food was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was crowded but enjoyable. I would recommend this to all local Chicagoans.It is great! more

Not a great filet mignon. I make better at home 1/18/2009

I took my daughter here last night for her birthday dinner. (The one in Lombard) after going to 2 other places and not wanting to wait 45 minutes for a table we navigated to the Weber Grill. The hostess told us the wait was 20-25 minutes but we waited much longer...okay, that happens. We had the artichoke and spinach dip, it was very good. We both had Filet Mignon, we asked for medium. One was medium well and one was well done. Very dry and flavorless so I took the server up on his offer and sent it back for a new one. By the time I got it my daughter was wrapping up the rest of hers so I had a few bites and brought the rest home. I was completely disappointed with the steak. Flavorless and I don't believe it was of a $30.00 quality. I'd expect a dry aged for that price. I make a better steak at home! I originally wanted to go to JAlexanders but my daughter didn't want to wait. It's a pity we didn't. The steaks there are of superb quality and the wood fire gives it an awesome taste. The price is the same but the food is so much better. I don't know why anybody would waste their time and precious money at the Weber Grill. I will not be a regular customer of the place. They need some fine tuning. The best part of my visit was my server. He was excellent. Two thumbs down!! more

Good Food but got screwed!! 1/8/2009

i just now came from there and got a screwing on my meal. they didnt have the ribeye on the menu, said that had quit serving it. i was getting ready to order the new york strip which is always a little more expensive than a ribeye and the waitress told us that they did have the ribeye. i thought that was great!! my steak come and it was alright, not as good as last time i had eaten there, alot of fat on it but i didnt complain. then they brought my bill and the steak was 37.00, thought it was a mistake and asked the waitress and she said it was so expensive because it was there specialty!! the new york strip was 25.00 so i guess the ribeye was special because it was so dang expensive!! i wont be back for my next chicago trip!!!! more

Great food, Great atmosphere 1/3/2009

You want an awesome steak? This is the place. I was just there with my fiancee and some relatives and friends and we had a great time. The steak was to delicious. I got the skirt steak. My fiancee got the pulled pork and that was really good too. They did mess up on my friends order giving her something different but they were very apologetic and fixed the problem quickly. Great chili and chicken!! 12/8/2008

I have been numerous times to Weber Grill, not only at the State St location, but in the burbs. The food is consistently excellent(I would highly recommend the chili and the beercan chicken) to anyone. The place does get busy, but the staff gets you seated quickly. Definitely make this a next place to eat!! Pros: Very good service and excellent barbecue more
