Rude and uncooperative staff. Reserved a truck from 10 AM til 6:30 PM. Reservation confirmed by email from UHAUL 12 days prior to pickup date. When I arrived told by the staff to return the truck by 5:15 PM. Despite telling staff that the truck was reserved until 6:30 PM and that I had arranged a crew of movers to assist me until 6 PM I was told by the staff that they had no such record of a 6:30 PM return time. The staff person announced to my wife and me that he was "not in the mood today for any crap", of which I responded “great, now we have two pissed off people in this room”. We were then given the oldest and rustiest truck on the lot with 150K+ miles. The truck's brakes made a strange electronic whining sound when applied which by this time had become the “icing” on the cake. Not until I emailed a copy of the original email reservation confirmation, would the manager honor our reservation. However, this same manager abruptly told me to bring the truck back by 7 AM the next day and immediately hung up on me. When I returned the truck later that afternoon (6 PM), attempted to share my disappointment with the manager but was condescendingly told that the issue was not with Uhaul, rather that my "feelings were hurt". more

I had a terrible experience with this U-Haul location. I had reserved the trailer for the whole day, only to find out they had rented it out to someone else in the early afternoon, making me unable to have any time to use it at all. Not only that, there seems to be a communication breakdown between employees and the manager. I called to change my reservation once before the day, which they didn't record or change. When I called to cancel due to their over-booking I got a snotty attitude from employee. Then, I got a call from the manager a few hours later asking why I hadn't come to pick up the trailer. After all of this nonsense, they still charged me and refused to take it off! Terrible, horrible service and unfriendly to boot. I wouldn't recommend to anyone unless you feel like getting screwed over on your moving day. more

I tried to rent a trailer from this location 1 year ago and the manager refused because "he did not have time to attach it to my car". I guess attaching it meant hooking it up to my hitch, which took all of 1 minute. Oh, I forgot the 30 seconds it took to attach the break light cord. The trailers were lined up 10 feet from the office and a nice employee broke rank and helped me hook up the trailer in 2 minutes. The manager actually screamed at the employee in front of me - this guy was really crazy. I recommend renting from the Budget office located at Shurgard across the street. They have even better stories about the crazy manager at U-hual. more
