Best

My favorite Thai Food. Been eating there for years, and they never disappoint. I even drive 10 miles to get their take out once in a while.

Worst

I first ate at this restaurant in 2001 and it was the best Thai food in town -- it's questionable these days. Each time I go there, the more disappointed I feel. I just started ...

reliable Thai food, service may not be so good 11/17/2007

When I walked in to get take out, the place was pretty full and the staff seemed a bit rushed. I walked up to the counter and just as I opened my mouth to say that I was going to order some food to go and ask for a menu, the person at the counter asked me to wait a second and disappeared. He could have been a little friendlier when he reappeared, but at least he got my order right. The food was not as exciting as Racha but definitely better than Thai Heaven - overall, good, solid Thai food. The portions were more than adequate. After sharing an appetizer of spring rolls, I was able to eat only half of my entree of vegetables and tofu with peanut sauce. The other half, with leftover rice, was enough for lunch the next day. The peanut sauce was quite good, by the way! I will most likely try them again, either for take out or for dine-in. The food was a good value, and, combined with the restaurant's extreme proximity to my apartment, this made up for what this place lacks in service. Pros: good food Cons: not the best takeout service experience more

Excellent Thai food 8/28/2007

My sister-in-law and I recently ate dinner at Tup Tim Thai, and I was very pleased with the experience. It was my first time trying ""pad see ew,"" which I thought was delicious. I wrapped up half of the entree to as the portion size was generous, and enjoyed it the next day for lunch. We ordered spring rolls to start and enjoyed them as well. It was a weeknight but quite busy with a steady stream of diners, and the atmosphere is casual and cozy. The service was fairly prompt, not overly friendly, but nice enough. Will definitely go back here for great Thai food. Pros: tasty food Cons: parking more

Not as it used to be 6/5/2007

We recently moved back to Seattle. We are looking forward to go back to one of our favorite Thai restaurants. Tup Tim Thai used to have excellent food, and authentic Thai dishes. \r \r We went in on June 5, 07 for dinner. We were really really disappointed. The food does not taste as good. Pud Thai was very oily. Seafood combination (Pud Talay) was salty. Needless to say, we did not finish our dinner. The server did a poor job packing the leftover. The containers leaked and messed up our car.\r \r I will not go back! Even though, the restaurant is not too far from our house. Forget it! I know there must be a better Thai restaurant near by.\r Cons: Poor service more

Tried this place on a recommendation other than citysearch. My food wasn't that great--Pad thai was okay, but then again, if you can't do that right, should you even be in business?--though everything else was fine. When I read all of the reviews here I get the impression that they're being written by someone with a vested interest in the place--they all read like ads, and lack detailed description. more

I wanted to like them so much *sigh* 10/2/2006

I was very excited that there was a highly rated Thai place a few blocks from my new residence. However, after three very disappointing tries, I cannot bring myself to go there again. The appetizers we had were greasy, bland, and served with the same plum sauce from a jar. The fundamental Phad Thai was overcooked and underseasoned (with a strange flavor, I might add). The Phad See-ew stirred some hope in me with good flavor but still overcooked noodles. The third and final visit, we got takeout during a slooooow weeknight, so no excuses. My fiance ended up pouring the Tom Young Goong (his all-time favorite) into the toilet. The pineapple fried rice was bland and a waste of money (to think that a Thai restaurant in *Cleveland* beat them at fried rice). I couldn't remember if I ordered chicken with oyster sauce or garlic chicken since the "sauce" was merely a brown salty soup with no recognizable trace of garlic *or* oyster sauce. And the fresh veggie rolls were filled with luscious.......noodles and iceberg lettuce. Oh yeah, they stuck a sliver of cucumber in there too. No matter how hard I tried to see what all the praise was about, I couldn't see any gustatory reason for eating there. At least the service was excellent. Pros: service Cons: the food, overrated more

Best Thai food ever 1/16/2006

TTT is by far the best thai food I've ever tried. And I've tried just about every place in Seattle and the suburbs. Their Phad Thai is excellent. But my favorite is the cashew chicken. Yum. Parking can be non-existant though, and the inside is on the small side. Best advice is to get the food to go. Pros: Great food, Great price, Great service Cons: Parking, Not big inside more

Yuck Tim Thai 8/12/2005

All I've been hearing is how great this place is. After three tries, and thinking perhaps I routinely ordered the wrong dish, I'll never go back. The soup borders on horrid--a can of chicken broth with chopped up jalepenos does not a good soup make. The appetizers were straight out of a box and the the entrees are passable at best. more
