I went to Treat based on the citysearch reviews - I was looking for a salon/stylist that could do great blond highlights. The salon itself is nice, and I found the staff friendly and amenable. I went a few times, was never really thrilled with the result, but never left in tears either. Until my last appointment, which was a little before christmas. My hair truely looked awful as I left, in no way a reflection of the supposed skill of either my colorist (Jeremy) or stylist (Natasha). To be honest, most of the time I felt like Jeremy just whacked in foils haphazardly, and didnt really care much about what I looked like either before I had my hair done, or as I walked out of the door. I ended up too blond more than once, and the last time I felt a bit like Morticia Adams, after having requested more lowlights - I was way darker than I had requested, with grayish white streaks at the front. Gawd, it was terrible! My cuts with Natasha weren't what I expected from sombody I had been given absolutely rave reviews about from Jeremy, the last one was uneven, and a minimal amount was taken off, she was late and rushed, her next client was already waiting for her while she attempted to style my hair, for some reason she put my hair into pin curls and dried my hair with a diffuser and thus had more or less an unattractive afro to contend with...and she got flustered. I wasn't particularly happy, esp as I was going to be forking out over $200 for the experience. I was offered a second blowdry on that last occasion, and always a redo if I wasnt happy with the color - but that isnt the point, who wants to or should have to go back to get things fixed, if the job is done properly from the beginning? Good hairdressers can get it right the first time, and thats what people want, we all want that walking out the door like a pampered princess tossing our fabulously coiffed heads and loving our new hair feeling...and I dont think Treat nails it at all.
