We just bought a foreclosed home in the east valley. The bank didn't know how to remove the lock properly and drilled through the faceplate of the cylinder (not sure if that's the technical term) until they realized that wouldn't work. They eventually removed the lock (and replaced it with a temporary one) but not until after they destroyed the nice appearance of the original one. When we took ownership of the house and brought our locks into Top Flight Lockout Svc & Sec to be re-keyed, their locksmith did a great job, for a good price, and in very little time. The new keys turn smoothly and he even replaced the old cylinder faceplate that had two ugly holes in it for me at no charge with one that he swapped off a used part he had. The lock now works great AND looks as good as new. I have no idea how much it would have cost to try to buy just the replacement faceplate, but before I brought it to Top Flight Lockout, I couldn't find it anywhere, so he really went above and beyond what he needed to do to make me a satisfied customer. Even though it is about a 20 minute drive for us to get to Top Flight, after their customer service, we think it's well worth it and will be going there for our future locksmith needs.
