Excellent. Honest, friendly, knowledgeable. I took my car there a couple of years ago just because it was convenient, but I've been going back there ever since because they do it right. I've recommended them to friends, and those friends are now regular customers, too. Never had a single problem. Just this morning, I went there because I was blowing antifreeze from the engine compartment. They diagnosed the problem, gave me some options and a recommendation, and fixed it for free. Total time: 8 minutes. more

I have entrusted my auto health to Tidwell's Auto Service for about 10 years and receive the same results each time. I was contacted before service was performed and explained what was needed and approximate cost of the full repair. Without fail, the bill was within reasonable cost to what was mentioned and results have always been acceptable. more

Once again I am pleased with the service I received and the speed of the repairs. The young lady up front was very courteous and not only notified me of what repairs were needed, but also just what those repairs entailed. As a woman who has always decided where to repair our vehicles, I am very impressed with this young lady's knowledge. Please keep up the good work, as it is very refreshing to have women up front who are knowledgeable about car repair and can relay proper information and answer questions. I was also given a 20% discount on repairs which was greatly appreciated! more

Tidwell's auto has offered courteous, quick service to all of our autos over the past year. We purchased a card for a price for discounted oil changes and it was never a problem getting it done in a matter of minutes. They notified me of things that needed to get done for the car, wrote the problem down for me & my husband was able to take care of that problem himself to help us save money. I hope to enjoy Tidwell's continued services in 2011. So much nicer to work with than other larger chains. They drove my car around to me, handed me the keys and said thank you with a smile. Tidwell?s I used to TRUST Them!!!\r I blew a spark plug out of my Expedition. I took it to Tidwell?s for repair, after having it for 3 days they told me that it would need the complete head replaced because it had striped the spark plug hole out. It would run 3800. I told them I could not afford that so I would have to pick it up. I brought it home and looked at the spark plug hole and thought it looked ok. I went to the parts store and bought a 5.00 spark plug and a spark plug tool. Came home and installed the plug in about 10 minutes. I've been driving it for 4 months and no problems. About a month ago my girl took her VW bug down to them because the Check engine light was on. They tell her it will be 1200 to replace the catalytic converter. She calls me and I tell her no way. We pick it up and take it to a muffler shop and they replace it for 250. This used to be a great place. Mr Tidwell was an honest person. Now they have this tall guy who is rude and a crook. Take my word for more

Troy?s crew at Tidwell Auto has taken care of all of the vehicles that I have owned for the last 15 years, from full engine rebuilds to routine monthly oil changes. I put 100 miles per day on my vehicle and get the oil changed every month. We sent two kids off to college, one to Texas Tech and one to TWU in Denton and all of the work needed to keep their cars running safely and dependably was performed at Tidwell Auto. I drove a 1995 Chevy Tahoe for 12 years and put 367,000 miles on it. I never had an engine or transmission problem with Troy?s folks doing all of the maintenance. They did the brakes three or four times. They rebuilt the front end twice and replaced the air conditioner. When I look back on the years of dependable transportation from that truck, the cost of vehicle ownership was less than ten cents per mile. Their work has always been done quickly and correctly, at a fair price. My son worked for several years in Plano. One day he was on his dinner break a little after 5:00pm. He headed back to work down Parker Road while they were doing some road construction. A rock flew up and hit his clutch master cylinder. He was stranded, stuck in the middle of Parker road during rush hour. He called me at DFW airport. All I could think to do was to call Troy and ask if he could help. He and his men dropped what they were doing to go help my son. They pushed his truck onto a residential street and made arrangements to have a tow truck pick up his truck and get it to their shop. Please keep in mind that by this time it is well after they would have normally closed for business. I hope that this story says something to you about the customer service at Tidwell Automotive. It is kind of hard for me to write about and not think back on what a different kind of ending this event could have had without Troy and his crew. That 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was returned to my son, running perfectly the next day before noon. My daughter?s 1995 Toyota 4 Runner had the engine rebuilt three years ago by Troy?s team and has run perfectly. It already has over 24,000 miles on the rebuilt engine. more

I have used Tidwell Auto for the last 8 years or so and have been very happy with the service provided. The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous and provided me with a quote that matched the final bill each and every time. I have never had to take my cars back in for a problem they fixed.
