Worst

The massage was adequate but why 80 dollars for a modect palce with no special perksa 5 dollar bottle of unchlled wien and filthy sheets. No thanks I won't be back.

The massages were incredible. Dr Nadeau gave me on of the best chiroopractic adjustments I've ever had. and his massage (neurimuscular work was fantastic. My husband loved Crsti's work as well. He "zoned out" and went to heaven for an hour. more

I really impressed my girlfriend! 8/12/2010

I was wanting to impress my girlfriend with a unique idea for a date - so I googled couple's massage and up came The Petite Retreat. I booked an appt. and when we arrived, we were greeted with wine and an assortment of fruit while we filled out our client forms. We then had an awesome massage with hot stones, hot towels, and stuff that smelled really good!! My date was so impressed - it was a total surprise and she had no idea what I was taking her to do. Our night ended fantastic with a great steak at Brennans. We will be back for sure. more

Justin gave me the best massage I've ever had. The owner however is a bit nefarious. She asked me to sumit this review...then edited it after I left. Then place another review for a freakin' Taco Cabana. I didn't like this one bit. more

the smell of Lolas Trash 8/12/2010

If the smell of Lolas trash bin doesn't kill you on the way in the flying cock roaches attacking you on the porch might. The location tends to encourage the roaches from the neighboring trash bin to attract cock roaches to the terrace..yikes not for me!!! more

Cool place to chill in the Heights 8/11/2010

I just moved into the neighborhood and was walking my dog down Heights blvd and happened to notice the sign for The Petite Retreat. I was thrilled to find a place to get a massage within walking distance from my new casa. My massage was one of the best I have gotten in years! Thanks for making my day. Most relaxing and secure experience I have had. 8/10/2010

A very cozy and well appointed studio greeted me as I was offered a beverage and time to acclimate myself to the spa. The private massage room was cozy and I felt secure immediately. Shannon, my therapist, was cheery and showed me where to hang my clothes as well as providing me with a robe. She left to give me an ample amount of time to disrobe and position myself on the heated massage table. She reentered and proceded to perform a relaxing and spiritual massage. When finished she respectfully exited the massage area and gave me ample time to gently reenter the world from what was an other wordly experience. In short, WOW!!!! more

What a great massage and facial 8/9/2010

I love this place! My wife surprised me with a spa treat here. (yes, I am one of those guys who love facials!! Don't tell anyone LOL) We did the couple's massage and facial, enjoyed strawberries and Mimosas during our treatments and left feeling soooo relaxed. We will tell all our friends about you and your wonderful staff. Next time I want to learn how to massage my wife because she suffers from lower back pain and I would love to know how to help! Can't wait to bring my BF 8/7/2010

I was referred to this spa by a friend: I didn't know they specialized in couples so I just went in for a single's. Very good atmosphere and friendly staff. The massage itself was great! I only paid for what I guess is just a regular massage, but the lady also did some hot stone and aromatherapy, as well. Needless to say, I will be coming back, and bringing my super tense BF with me. ;) more

A romantic suprise from my darling 7/28/2010

My husband suprised me with a couples massage at a tucked away location in the Heights. We were greeted like family and treated like royalty. The decor and ambiance created a romantic canvas for his perfect treat. We held hands during our treatment and walked out invigorated. Thank you Crysti for creating such an awesome place! My boyfriend LOVED it!! It was his first massage 7/28/2010

It was my boyfriends birthday so I decided to do something different. He had never had a massage and I thought it would be fun to learn to massage each other. I found this place online and discovered they did Couple's instructional massage workshops. We were warmly greeted and served a glass of chardonnay. The location is private and the waiting area has a fireplace and beautiful art on the walls that is actually for sale (like an art gallery type setting) We were very impressed with the ambiance. We then went into our massage room and got changed into robes and then took turns learning to massage each other. The therapist was awesome and made it a lot of fun for us (sorry, I can't remember her name! but she was great) Thanks for making my boyfriend very happy on his birthday. We will definately be back. A beautiful, relaxing day with my Hubby! 7/24/2010

I've never had a couples massage, but I decided to give it a try when one of my friends referred me to The Petite Retreat. I surprised my husband with the 5 hour fairytale romance package...massage, facial, Japanese foot treatment, body mask (we got to choose from an array of the finest body muds- I picked Rose, he chose Baltic Sea), and even ear candling. For five hours, our therapists gave us their undivided attention. They basically spent an entire work day providing us with the best service, treatment, and attentiveness I've ever received. Our day started with a Crysti, the owner's, warm greeting and charm. She took us to our massage suite, where they already had champagne (freshly popped) and gorgeous chocolate covered strawberries (I pre booked this and everything was prepared! From then on we were the center of everyone's attention. They truly made us feel like royalty, instead of a client. It was the most relaxing, delicious and romantic choice I've ever made when I get to spend a day with my husband. I highly recommend every duo to try out their services- they are unbelievable. Pros: The most skilled massage therapists in the city! Cons: None more

Incredible Massage, LOVED it! 7/11/2010

So I googled massage and looked for a spa close to my house and what a surprise The Petite Retreat was right down the street from me! I had no idea - apparently they moved a few months ago to the area and are still getting the word out. Anyhoo, I noticed they said they were a "couple's spa" and wondered if they took single treatments... I called and the owner assured me that "of course we do! come on in..." She was so attentive to my needs, a true expert massage therapist. Thanks so much for making my Sunday beautiful (yes, they are open on Sundays - YEAH! My favorite day to get a massage LOL) If you want a really great massage go here, for sure. I will definately be back. Pros: Experienced, expert Therapist Cons: Can't wake up to this everyday! more

I have have to say that coming to The Petite Retreat has been a huge thumbs up. I almost tore my rotator cup on my left shoulder. I have visited Crysti twice and have noticed a significant change in my posture and disposition. I can say that I would give her a five-star rating! Normally when I go to a spa for a massage I expect a slightly pretentious vibe. Much to my surprise that was not the case. I walked in and was greeted with a very warm welcome. The atmosphere was very inviting and asthetically pleasing due to the beautiful art on the walls. I also was informed that the art was for sale. Three minutes into my massage, I was immediately feeling better but when it was over, I knew that I would definitely be back. I will most certainly be back with my husband because they specialize in couples massage. I highly recommend this tucked away gem in the Heights for anyone who can appreciate a truly professional massage. Pros: Friendly professional staff. Cons: Cons??? Not to my knowledge. more

What a great massage 6/29/2010

After a long week at work, I decided to treat myself to a massage and facial. A friend of mine had just visited and recommended this place and I am so glad she did! My therapist was wonderful and I fell in love with this little spa. Apparently they just moved to the Heights - I am a neighbor and it took me less than 2 minutes to get there! I will definately be back. Thanks again you guys for making me feel really special. Next time I plan to bring my boyfriend! Pros: Experienced therapists and Excellent ambience Cons: can't go more often!! more
