OK before I start ripping into this place... the bathrooms were REALLY clean last time I was there, which is amazing for a Saturday night just about anywhere. So that's a big plus...

Good beer, fun people 3/12/2011

This is a great place to meet people and have a good laugh. The bartenders are great people and if it is slow, they will come chat it up with you. I have only had one bad experience there in the year that I have been going. There is a good variety of beer there, although I go for only one. It was switched out, and when I made a comment about it, it was brought back. Some great names for comedy come through there, so that is another good reason to go. If you like pool, there are plenty of tables with little or no wait time. Fridays and Saturdays are busy, but is still fun. I think the best nights are Monday and Wednesdays, quieter and more tables open, but if you want to go people watch, then by all means, Friday and Saturday. Best place to go anywhere in the east side hands down in my book. more

Came to laugh, left crying. Action story included. 1/1/2011

The rudest place we have ever been to! We had tix for comedy show for New Year's. We came in with our dear friends from out of town. We do not drink and are honest, hard working folks like anyone else. We are in health care profession, serving people and working hard, giving and volunteering for our community, etc. I am a nurse, who is exhausted and was looking forward to laugh for New Years with her close friends. Sometimes it would be nice to be treated nicely as well, especially for something we were looking forward to and paid good money for. From the start we were treated with rudeness. Then, we were separated from our friends and seated in different spots. We were so upset. We had VIP great seats and were willing to give them away to the people our friends were sitting with now (only 2 tables away!). Those folks got really excited and didn't mind to take our seats and switch over. In the midst of it all, the man calling himself the "manager" with name "Carlo" intercepted us all and started yelling at us! He had a stoned, glassy look in his eyes and his face looked 'zombified' and sweaty. He was so rude to us and started yelling delirious things that made no sense at all! He was saying: "I am the owner of this place! I rule this place. I own this place and you have no right to change seats without MY permission! Who gave you permission to do so? You just come here and think you can do whatever you want? Who do you think you are? I tell you where to seat and what to do. Go back to your seats NOW and stay quiet!" We were all in such shock and ACTUALLY apologized by saying that we are actually giving out BETTER seats to these people and we even switched out tickets, but he started shoving us and made us trade the tix back, and was very violent. My husband actually tried to calm him down by apologizing more and friendly putting his hand on manager's shoulder, but he got even more delirious and was pretending he is the "big gun in town" and that "no one messes with him"! There was obviously no reasoning with this violent rude person and he spoiled our whole evening. Later, we noticed people were switching seats around and no one cared! There was no order in this place. They made it look like it was "tight security" and said they were sold out of tickets and turning elegant and sober people away, while girls touching security guy at the entrance and flirting got to go in without ID being checked or tickets. We also overheard someone saying they simply printed and made copies of tickets and they simply go in with no problems because all that checking is an act and there is no order. All that fiasco and "security" show was such a ridiculous waist of everyone's time and money. I would NEVER recommend my friends to go to this place. Staff rudeness and complete plain DISRESPECT is beyond believable. At least our waitress was nice and we did leave her 40% tip for our $10 bottle of water we got. After the show I came up to this "manager claiming guy" and told him that we didn't appreciate being separated from our friends and not allowed to switch seats earlier on. He had that same paralyzed look to his face and yelled at me saying "what do you want me to do?!" I said: "I want nothing from you", just wanted to tell him how rude he is and that we didn't appreciate his treatment at all. He just turned around and marched away, while this security guy grabbed my arm and started dragging me away, by telling me that I "should just have fun and go away!" The disrespect there was beyond words! I understand that there is a lot tension and drunks out there and they need to deal with all that, but it doesn't mean that the rest of civilized and well mannered folks are supposed to pay for other people's behavior by being degraded like this and humiliated. it's an outrage! more

Nice atmosphere, beware of crowds 11/5/2010

It's got a great atmosphere and lots of friendly people. This place may be a victim of its own success though as their can be crowds. It's all good though. more

looking for a "tech" guy? 2/17/2010

Looking for a "tech" guy? This is the place he hangs out for happy hour. Go with a girlfriend and sit in the bar. After an hour, make eye contact with him and send her to the restroom so that he has an "opening" to come over and talk. If he is too shy to come over, after your girlfriend comes back from the restroom, get HER to invite him and his friend to play billiards with you guys (you should not do the asking -- she has to do it for you). Leave the rest to him. Pros: best place to meet an unmarried tech guy more

Good comedy in a mall. 2/9/2010

Who knew you could get a quality comedy show in a mall, well it is bellevue, but I still had my doubts. Great atmosphere, lots of people, pretty fun. Some of the comedy seats make you have to crane your neck to see the stage, but I guess that is what you get if you don't pay for the expensive tickets. I really feel like the bathroom attendants are unncessary, I personally like to pee in peace, but they do give you a feeling of class. I also really like the ice bar makes me feel like I am in vegas. Pros: Nice atmosphere, pool, comedy and drinks Cons: bathroom attendants, some bad comedy seats, can be spendy more

Great Comedy Venue!!! 2/1/2010

I have yet to shoot pool at the Parlor but I have been to two comedy shows in the past few weeks. The wait staff is really on their game, always checking in. I have been to a few comedy venues and this one is now my favorite. They bring in very good comics. If you love to laugh its definitely worth your time and money. Pros: Great Venue; Great Wait Staff more

Good place for company events 1/13/2010

I had an event here with my company over the holidays and I thought it went very well! Our company had a really great time- we were in one of the private rooms with a buffet style dinner. The food was yummy and our server very nice. There was even a Wii set up -great party addition I must say. I'm rating based on how our event went, I haven't been here yet for anything else, although when I'm in the area I will come back and try their happy hour which I've heard is pretty good. Pros: Nice private rooms more

Love The Parlor! 12/16/2009

I love going to the parlor! I want you all to know how great of a place it is! After recently visiting Earl's down the street and other local bars how HORRIBLE their service is! Unlike Earl's and other local bars they have a great happy hour with amazing food and drinks! Their service is quick and their servers check in with you and don't leave you looking for them. Which is awesome when you are trying to drink and get a good buzz =) All in all this is a great place to hang out in anyday of the week! more

Great place for comedy. 12/10/2009

Tonight I visited the Parlor Billiards and Spirits in Lincoln Square for the first time. I was extremely satisfied with my experience. I went to the Todd Bridges comedy show. Not only was it super funny, but my service was outstanding. The servers were quick and attentive. Very yummy food and strong drinks! =) Will definately be back again soon! Pros: Service, food, drinks, comedy more

My Favorite Party Place! 11/24/2009

Top Notch, one stop entertainment place as far as Bellevue goes! Living in Seattle, I usually don't make it over to the Eastside to party, but it was my girlfriends birthday, so we decided to go to The Parlor because they have a live comedy show, pool tables, and dancing. We went to see Bobby Lee who was absolutely HILARIOUS and totally worth every dime. I've never laughed so hard at t comedy show. Then immediately after the show, there was a live DJ and a dance club thing going on, so we definetly continued the party till the end. I've been reading alot of complaints about the secruity here, but I'm definetly glad they were around and especially attentive because there were quite a few individuals who kept spilling their drinks and knocking everyone over because they were too drunk to know what they were doing. Of course you are going to get kicked out if you're acting like all out of control and can't control your liquor. Anyways, definetly a great stop for having a good time out, or maybe just to relax on a weekday. But going to a comedy show is a MUST, their line up is great! Pros: Great vibe Cons: strong drinks more

Best Comedy Club on the Eastside 11/20/2009

Friends brought me to a comedy show and we stayed after to play pool. The food was better than I expected, the staff is super friendly and the general crowd that hangs out there is laid back and having fun. I plan to take my out of town family to a comedy show next time they are here. Great Eastside location means no having to drive & park in Seattle!! Pros: Nightly events and daily happy hour specials Cons: Traffic in the Bell Square area more

Fun times - great happy hour 11/2/2009

I was at the parlor last night, and I had a blast. They had an Halloween event going, and the music was great. Happy hour was all night so my bill was very small, and deffinetly worth every $. My order came out quickly even though the bar was packed. My server was very nice and bubbly. The manager gave out comedy tickets, and I'm deffinetly going back to see a show! Pros: Best looking staff around Cons: stiff drinks more

Disappointed 9/30/2009

Two of my girlfriends and I went to check out the Rockaroke band tonight. We enjoyed the band, but were disappointed by the weak drinks we were all served. Too bad, we had considered returning to see the band with a larger group. Pros: Good Rockaroke Band Cons: Weak Drinks more

Great comedy club 8/6/2009

A group of us went to Parlor Live over the weekend and saw Dov Davidoff. He was a great comedian and the club was very nice. It was nice not having to go into Seattle to see a comedy show. We all plan on coming again soon to see another show. I recommend the place to anyone! more
