Worst

Well the prices are high. Wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt for the snobby reseptionsit Kathleen she acts like she is better than everyone. Id rather go sonewhere where they are nicer...

I think Mode is too expensive. However I have to highly recommend Michi who is an excellent stylist and colorist. While I have not been to anyone else at Mode, all the folks at Mode seem to know what they are doing; they know their products; they are comfortable with servicing their clients, and they treat their customers well. Well enough to keep us loyal and coming back. It is expensive but I have not been disappointed so its worth the price for me.... more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND 11/1/2011

Would highly recommend MODE salon. Ann Marie does an amazing job and I always leave loving the color of my hair, which is hard to find as a blonde. Originally went to MODE because I needed a place for me and bridal party to have our hair done the day of the wedding. After meeting and talking with Ann Marie, she did such a great job, I just had to go back. I also love the peaceful feeling I get whenever I am there. Would HIGHLY recommend! more

I am always treated like a queen, and feel like a million bucks after having my hair done. Mode folks are very professional and while the atmosphere is upscale, their prices are not. Highly recommend! more

Mode Salon 10/24/2011

I recently moved from Ft. Lauderdale to Gainesville and was looking for a Salon. My first visit to Mode was outstanding the stylists took the extra time and care to provide me with the perfect cut. I highly recommend Mode to everyone the staff is extremely curtious and treats each customer as V.I.P. Thank you Mode you have a customer for life and I will encourage my friends and family to give Mode a chance they will not regret the experience the staff will provide. more

Michi is quite impressive & she has an outstanding approach to clients & their needs 10/20/2011

I have been a client of Michi's for over 5 years & I have always left her chair feeling immensely better about my appearance & general outlook. I drive to Gainesville from South FL, or fly from Alaska just to see Michi. I tend to be softly spoken & intimidated with regard to salon environments, but Michi has been very understanding, connects with what I need, & gives me quiet time to process ideas when needed. She cares about the finished look & most importantly, how you feel. Be at ease when booking an appointment with Michi more

AWFUL 10/15/2011

the worst experience I have ever had with a haircut. I am used to getting my hair done in NY, so I guess I am a little snobby when it comes to finding a good haircut. HOWEVER - I have never been styled by someone who #1 - truly does not know what they are doing, and #2- was downright rude when I asked her to fix what was ruined. I cannot believe I paid $50 to look like a boy with a bowl cut. The salon essentially slaps a high price tag on their stylists and expects people to think that means they have experience - which mine certainly did not. When I asked for my style to be fixed, I was told that she would NOT fix it and I should have specified my desires when I first arrived (my mistake for assuming that all stylists should know that straight bangs should not actually go straight across and should angle at the ends - I look like a member of the Beatles). Anyway - awful haircut, awful service. DO NOT GO HERE! more

I go to Mode Salon for my pedicures and Megan is the BEST! She has also waxed my eyebrows twice now (I usually go to a spa down by my parent's house for this) and she has been fantastic both times! We always have a nice chat and she always makes sure that I'm comfortable and relaxed. Mode is THE SALON in Gainesville. more

Recommendation for Mode Salon East 10/8/2011

I recommend Mode East salon for the friendly staff, attention to detail and the spa/wellness experience. Have had hair color retouching done by 2 different hairdressers, and both did an excellent job, followed by superb straight blowdry (tricky for my hair type which is dry and coarse), and left it looking in excellent condition. They were attentive to detail, with complimentary massage and refreshments, and felt very pampered. Both appointments took a little longer than color retouches done elsewhere. Overall was very pleased with the results, excellent service and prices. more

LOVE megan. she is a true professional at eyebrow waxing, not just an employee who is thrown in to do "some waxing." she knows what she is doing, she is precise and thorough. BEST shaping ive had, maybe ever. go see her. you wont be disappointed. more
