Remember when LA boasted a whole bunch of places to get a good wrap (Marissa's Burrito Adventure, World Wraps)? Well, thankfully, the Coffee Table, on Rowena in the heart of Silver Lake, is alive and well and serving up incredible wraps (I like the Roasted Chicken or the B.L.T.T.A., which I order sans Avocado), along with a great selection of salads, sandwiches, burgers and a few solid entrées. They also have one of the nicest back patios in the business, with a recent addition shaded from the sun by fabric that lets in a beautiful glow. It's the perfect place to read the paper, type away at your laptop, or simply enjoy a muffin while nice folks around you study, chat or get a little knitting done. It's on the hip side, but far from pretentious. The walls serve as an art gallery with rotating exhibits, and artists must clearly show some talent to earn a spot (the stuff is usually quite good). This is a "regular" spot for my wife and I, and we've enjoyed countless breakfasts, lunches and dinners here. Unless you're counting calories, you can't go wrong choosing the mashed potatoes as your side dish.
