Best

I had heard from my mom that this place was great so we wanted to check it out. First of all the place was beautiful on the inside. Very neat compared to anything we had been to. ...

Worst

I have never had to wait for a table here as I work in restaurants so can never go out during peak hours. However, why would any restaurant take reservations if they have a lobby ...

Sleezecake Factory ! 12/15/2002

The food portions are disturbingly large. Most patrons are seen walking out with the styrofoam container of leftovers. If these upscale diners are anything like me they will place the pathetic container in the backseat of the car and forget to bring it inside when the get home. The resulting automotive interior odor over the next few days will only serve to underscore the dubious culinary experience that is this somewhat overrated eatery. Pros: Big food Cons: Big noise, Big price, Big wait more

I JUST GAINED 20 POUNDS 10/23/2002

Generous portions.....if you can't afford a slightly pricy meal once in a while, then don't go. The wait time was only 35 minutes which wasnt bad since its connected to southdale, which gave us something to do. The ambience, service, food, and especially the cheescake were every bit as memorable as my experience in San Diego. If you like a hearty meal...GET THE SHEPHEARDS PIE!!! (thats just if you can't make up you mind and you just want a huge meal.) And good luck choosing just one cheesecake! Pros: Huge Portions, No wait problems, Good Service Cons: Seating a bit tight more

Who's Running This Factory? 8/28/2002

I think we all have been fans of other Cheesecake Factories. Well, Minneapolis beware! My friends and I just experienced the worst service imaginable. The food seemed to be okay but was overshadowed by the awful service. The server was continually messing up not only our tables' drink and food orders, but the surrounding tables. None of the other servers in the general area would lend a hand to our server when we specifically asked for our missing food or drinks. In the end when the manager was promised to stop by it took asking 3 different workers for her to appear. We did enjoy the conversation with the surrounding tables as we shared the same horrible experience. As four former servers sitting down to enjoy a meal we couldn't have been more dissatisfied with our dining experience. Want to enjoy the Cheesecake Factory? Flights to Chicago run about $180. Cons: service, management more

We dont have it! 8/21/2002

Atmosphere is very accomodating. and the food is good and plentiful. But when it came to ordering what we wanted, the waitress came back and said sorry..we're all out of that. So we had to choose another dish. Then when it came to picking one of the 35 cheesecakes, they were out of about 10 different ones, and, ofcourse, the one we wanted was on the list. Plus, they dont even make there own cheesecakes. They are boxed in from California. FROZEN!! Save your money and make your own cheesecake. $7 for one slice is a rip off! Most of it is whip cream that you can buy at the store! Pros: valet parking, friendly service, big menu Cons: seating is crowded, Sorry..we're all out!, dont have your order more

Cheesecake done wrong 8/20/2002

I feel sorry for those who rate this place very high. The poor individuals have never tasted truly divine cheesecake. The type of cheesecake has the perfect balance of flavors and makes you grieve when you have no room for more. The type that you hide is some dark corner of the fridge so no one else can devour it. As for the rest of the restuarant, the decor is deplorable, the service is snotty, and the menu although extensive is pricey, and poor. Cons: decor, service, price more

Ahhh Cheesecake 8/5/2002

How could you not be comforted by Cheesecake. The Cheesecake Factory has a great selection to choose from. Bring your friends and each order a different kind and share with a cup of coffee. Pros: Great Selection, In Mall, Good Parking Cons: A little High Priced, In Mall more

Good food 7/21/2002

They have a variety of food, that it is hard to choose just one entree. The cheesecake is to die for. more

Behold The Power of Cheese! 7/19/2002

The Cheesecake Factory is all that plus a bag of chips! Known for its rich cheesecake with the""to-die-for"" whipped cream, this restaurant lives up to its name. Go for the dessert. Start with a meal. The Cheesecake Factory has generous portions worth the somewhat expensive price. The menu includes everything from a salad to seafood. What really takes the ""cake"" is their service. Customer service has become a thing of the past in a world that's ""all about me"". These folks are attentive, knowledgeable and extremely friendly! It's hard to find a finer diner! Give it a whirl and have a slice today! Pros: Extensive menu option, Excellent wait staff!, Delicious food! Cons: Crowded (dinner time) more

Pretty Good, HUGE menu 7/3/2002

After visiting the restaurant in Vegas, I was excited to get one. While this one had a huge menu, great service and fabulous drinks, the food isn't nearly as good as I remembered. If there is a short line, go ahead and try it, it's better than Fridays. If the line is long, try later and head somewhere else. The food is good, but certainly not exceptional. Pros: VARIETY, DRINKS Cons: LONG WAIT, OK FOOD more

Cheesecake and More!!!! 6/7/2002

The Cheesecake Factory had the best pasta dish (portebello mushroom and artichok) that I have ever had in the twin cities....not to mention the great variety and awsome taste of cheesecake, although a little spendy for one piece but it is worth it! The Service was very good, casual with just enough class to make it a great dining experince. Pros: great pasta, good service, very clean Cons: long wait for seating more

Decent food, quit your complaining! 6/6/2002

Ok so MN's wouldn't know good food if it slapped you in the face. I have not been to the new cheesecake factory but I used to eat there in California all the time. Everyone knows in Cali that when you go to the Cheesecake Factory you will have to wait because it is sooo popular. I think the food is pretty good and the cheesecake excellent. Or try the apple crisp it is amazing!! The price is medium and a normal amount for good food but MN wouldn't understand that either, since most people are used to paying like 4 bucks for a sandwich. Its fresh and the salads are great. And it is a good place for a date. So quit the complaining because guess what?... eating out is expensive, can be healthy, and more and more people are doing it so expect it to be crowded. more

Iggers nailed it 6/6/2002

Big, slow and bland. The portions are huge! They take so long to cook that you have to wait in line while those seated first wait for their food. When you finally get your fare it is at best average. The taste, not the price. I had something called Cajun Chicken Bits. Bread crumbs would provide more spice than what coated these bird pieces. If you read the Star Tribune review, you know what to expect. Pros: Portion size Cons: Crowded, expensive, bland more

Very Disappointing 6/2/2002

The food is over priced and no good. The appetizer we ordered was fried vegetables, even a fast food fries has half the grease. My wife ordered the specialty of the day, which was a fish. It was a small piece of fish and the rest of the plate was loaded with fries. For the price they did not even give you a choice if you want something else besides fries. If you are going for cheesecake, this place is good. But for a meal I would not Recommend it. more

No sardines? Try the customers... 5/29/2002

I've been to other cheesecake factory restaurants so I knew to expect the wait. But when we were FINALLY seated it was like sitting at a long dining table at boarding school. Our table for two was just centimeters away from the next, which was equally close to its neighbor. They simply packed us in too tight. I couldn't hear a word my boyfriend said and as a result any attempt at ambiance was ruined. I was very disappointed with the overall experience. The food was good and we had a lovely waitress, but I won't rush back to be treated like cattle in a feeding pen. Pros: food, service Cons: loud, tighly packed seating more
