Best

I had heard from my mom that this place was great so we wanted to check it out. First of all the place was beautiful on the inside. Very neat compared to anything we had been to. ...

Worst

I have never had to wait for a table here as I work in restaurants so can never go out during peak hours. However, why would any restaurant take reservations if they have a lobby ...

Sliders 12/11/2005

Where else you can you get near perfect White Castle imitation hamburgers for an appetizer?! Talk about heaven on earth! It takes about 3 days to read the entire menu, but some great food selections for anybody you might call a friend or various family members that dine with you. A little pricey, but considering the location and ability to order the 'sliders', I guess it could be expected. more

Great!!! 4/15/2005

Great food, great service & great cheesecake. What more could you ask for!? Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

Great Key Lime!!! 6/6/2004

The last time my sister, daughter & I visited The Cheesecake Factory.......the service, food & of course the dessert ;-) was awesome!!! The Key Lime Cheesecake was the Best I have ever tasted. Pros: variety of food, variety of dessert, great service & food Cons: , crowded more

Tons of average food 3/14/2004

Looking to fill your belly with average tasting food? You've come to the right place. Interesting atmosphere, pleasing enough. Waitstaff were average, Food was below average in our book. The fries and pasta were cool, sandwich & chicken with pasta were warm. Huge menu to choose from. However, I fear all dishes will be below par. A cut above a Bennigan's/TGIFriday's, though not by much. Not what I would consider a fine dining establishment Pros: Inexpensive, Huge portions, Good location/parking Cons: , Tiny restrooms, Crowded more

a bad experience!! 3/2/2004

We were a party of 7 for a birthday party. The waitress was inexperienced and fake. The food took a long time to get to our table and when it did get there 3 of the 7 plates were cold. Manager was mad at us for telling him about the poor experience. Never again.... Pros: Location Cons: , Cold food, poor leadership more

Bad Service 12/14/2003

The first time we waited 90+ minutes for a table b/c they don't take reservations even for groups of 6 or more. Overly large portions, not a good deal, nothing special. The second time we were told the wait would be 5-10 minutes, then handed off to the next hostess who said the wait was 30-45 minutes according to the computer system (which she obviously was unfamiliar with). Sorry, that's just unacceptable. Cons: long waits, inexperienced staff more

Cheesecake Factory 12/8/2003

Two things: Servers are not congenial. Server told us that we need to order because he needed to turn his table. No kids' menu and nothing to keep kid's entertained. Pros: Good Cheesecake, Pretty good food Cons: Not family-friendly, Servers not congenial more

Come on Minnesota.... 8/18/2003

This place is always busy, and I'm not sure why. I've been there twice and both times the wait was long, the service was awful and the food was ick! I think the cheesecake was okay, nothing special. I think there are plenty of places in the cities who deserve a longer line then this place. Shame, Shame. more

Pleasantly surprised... 8/14/2003

My sister choose this restaurant for our monthly Girl's Night out. After reading some of the negative reviews I was really worried. But my worries were for naught. The service was top-notched, our waiter was very attentive and answered all of our questions. I ordered the Chicken Madeira which was outstanding, although the portion was too large. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Now only if they could put one of these in the Northern suburbs. Pros: Food, Service Cons: Location more

bad Friday 8/6/2003

The Orange chicken and Country Chicken salad were sent back. Too many items for cooks to make well. There may be something good but I won't be back to find out. Pros: large menu, good deserts Cons: crowded, expensive, poor food quality more

Delightful find! 7/20/2003

The first time I went, I ordered the pad thai and found it to be BEST I have tasted in MN. The second time, I ordered the chicken piccata and was once again completely pleased. Having said that, the service on both occassions left much to be desired. With prices like this, I expect waitstaff to visit my table once every 10 minutes to refill drinks/waters, double check to see if I need anything, and update me on the progress of my food. Management needs to work on service, since it is the make-or-break factor in someone returning or recommending a restaurant to others. Pros: Huge menu, Terrific food, Great atmosphere Cons: wait for a table, underdeveloped servic, fast food attitude more

Wow the food was bad 6/3/2003

Went with 6 co-workers for lunch. Only one person had anything nice to say about the food. We all thought the cheesecake was top notch, but very expensive. Service was lousy to say the least. Slow, un-friendly schlock. Our food was served cold, but it took so long to get it no one wanted to send it back. Portions were good sized, but when it isn't good, ample portions are a bad thing. What's with the decor? Some kind of funky ancient egyptian thing I think. I guess it makes sense, nothing says egypt like cheesecake. Pros: cheesecake Cons: service, price more

Really Boring Food and Horrible Service 5/27/2003

I have eaten in other branches of this restaurant and the food is not bad and the staff are not stuck up little idiots! Edina has a very bad rap for service in restaurants - I simply do not understand why - I just notice little blonde idiots running around making customers wait for no reason what so ever! The food was just god awful - no panache - the meatloaf sandwich was overdone the fries were McDonald's quality and the salad had two pieces of chicken and it was called a Chicken Salad! The cheesecake was old and dried out....really sad. My new mantra is never eat outside of downtown Minneapolis if you want decent food and decent service. On top of all that the waitress called my fiancee a girl..... Pros: Nice Artwork Cons: Bad food, Horrible Hostess, Long wait more

mediocre 3/2/2003

The food was extremely mediocre. I'm glad we arrived at 4:30 so our wait was only an half an hour. Much longer than that and it is not worth it! more

Can't wait to return! 2/21/2003

Quality of food, presentation of food, service, and even value, considering the large portions -- make this an all round pleasant experience. Pros: Location, Consistency, Great Service Cons: Wait more

Eh. 2/11/2003

I had a so-so experience. I went on Girls Night Out and it was a good venue for it: good mixed drinks like the Mojito and Chocolate Martinis and the really yummy cheesecake. I shared the Crispy Beef with another person in my party and it was really good. The sandwiches didn't look so hot, though. I would definetely go back, just to get a fuller experience (no pun intended, I did eat alot!) Service stank. Nice, but not efficient. A bit hurried. They might want to ease up on the sales push for their servers. It rushes the customers! Pros: Cheesecake, Drinks, Decor Cons: Service, Some food, wait more

Service Dissapointments 1/26/2003

Serivce detracts from average food and acceptable dessert. Bar service was good, but table service was very slow (1.25 hour). Cons: Service, Food more

Ask for guidance!!!!!!!!! 1/20/2003

#1-Expect a wait....period. Don't wait 2 hours, then complain to everyone that you waited 2 hours. STUPID! #2-Over 100 items, so not everything will be liked by everyone. We asked for advice and she was EXTREMELY helpful, warned us of huge portions and suggested dining familystyle: splitting an appetizer, dinner, and dessert. PERFECT! We didn't leave overfull and no annoying togos. Also, she told us of her favorites and her dislikes. We like spicy, so she reccommended Texas eggrolls / New Orleans Chicken Pasta, ending with Crazy Carrotcake Cheesecake, another tip. No complaints!! And splitting things made it rather economical. #3 - We're intelligent enough to know that next time, it may not be the same. One experience does not a restaurant make. You should be going out to have fun and relax, not to play ""Restaurant God"" and throw down thunderbolts from your cloud on high. Lighten up people!!!! Pros: cheesecake, intelligent service, variety Cons: table arrangement, no place for coats more

stupendous 12/28/2002

It has the best cheesecake I have ever had. It also has a good variety of food. Pros: good food, worth the price Cons: expensive more

Faboulous Eatery 12/22/2002

I have eaten at The cheesecake Factory 2 times now and found it to be faboulous. The food is great and has very large portions. The resturant is decorated very nicely and reminds me of a Las Vegas resturant or casino resturant. It was very easy to have a nice conversation with freinds and not to noisey to hear everything. The staff is VERY Frendly and very helpfull in making a food decision. It is a bit spendy, but thats just what you have to pay for a really nice place to eat. I would definatly keep going there and recommend it to anyone. It is a nice place to go just to have a nice evening and visit with special people in your life. Pros: Great service, Great Food, Great ambieance Cons: A little spendy more
