Truth be told, the design is nice, warm and at some level inviting. The customer are... well, for instance the lady next to me during dinner reminded me of Michael Jackson. But so...

Terzo is worthwhille 6/5/2006

I'm pretty much been to most every new place in SF and Terzo is a Top 10. Its location cant be beat, if you like Pac Heights part of town and the food is well..nothing you might ever be able to cook up at home and memorable. The wine list is robust and fairly priced, especially the Italian Chard at $35. I'll be back again and again. more

Overpriced, Small Portions 5/28/2006

When they say Small Plates, they mean it! And those are the only options. We are not big eaters, but after 6 plates we were still hungry! Also, DO NOT order the Cheese for the desert( I forgot the name) It was horrible and expensive. Ambience is good, but tables are cramped and there is no privacy. Thre is a valet for $10. Pros: Ambience Cons: Small Portion, Overpriced more

Worth the trip to Cow Hollow 5/22/2006

For me to bare the mostly clean cut marina crowd Terzo attracts -- it must be a good, solid restaurant. Why else would I leave my Tender-Nob hot bed of fine eateries? Well, I'll tell you why. You can not replicate the service you get from the chef co-owner Mark Gordon and his entire staff --especially Michael the bartender, nor can you find the kind of simple, authentic spanish and italian dishes at Terzo. Don't under-estimate the genius of subtly --because it's there, and it taste good. Pros: disarming bartender, great wine, diverse menu more

A Fun Night with the Girls!! 5/18/2006

I have recently discovered my new Cow Hollow/ Marina hang out! Last Thursday myself and three girlfriends had an absolutely fabulous time at this new pan Mediterrean restaurant called Terzo. I was also very pleased by what a friendly atmosphere we were welcomed to. Once we were seated, we ordered a number of different small plates in which we all shared. The service was excellent. One of my favorite plates was the fava beans with feta cheese on a crispy flat bread. I also loved the tuna cruda on toasted bread. Another thingt we loved about Terzo was the eclectic and affordable wine list. But where were all the men? This restaurant definitey had its share of groups of women in there late 20s to mid 30s like ourselves. Overall, I would definitely recommend Terzo to people of all ages. Pros: Great service, Affordable, Valet Parking more

Rude hostess 5/15/2006

Terzo is great - good food, great wine list. The waiters/waitresses are very good. The hostess however is horrific. Very rude and condescending. As much as I like Terzo, the experience with the hostess turned me off so much that I am not in a rush to return. more

Great Restaurant 5/9/2006

I was able to get in to Terzo Three times in the first week, twice just for drinks later in the evening. The food was fantastic, and I was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic, and unknown wines on the list. I noticed that a few larger parties had complained about the long time it took to get a table; but the restaurant manager Matt and his staff provided such excellent service that the customers left happy. Being in the industry, there is no greater quality for a restaurant to have. Fantastic restaurant with quality staff. Pros: Service, Wine List, Food more

a place to enjoy amazing food as it should be.... 4/23/2006

i was finally able to visit terzo last week; as i have had several friends recommend this unique, jewel of a restaurant. upon arriving, i was visually suprised; beautiful in design, quiant, relaxing and fun all at the same time. this concept follows through in their food, presentation, wine menu and service. the food is way above average and the attention and love from the chef certainly comes through in the food. I personally love small plates + left completely satisfied. i just returned from spending several months in europe and believe that terzo does a fine shop of bringing this quality, locallly-grown concept through. along with the food, the wine menu is refreshing; finally something different. the service was also wonderful, very attentive, but not disturbing and our server had the perfect wine recommendations for us to accompany our delicious dinner. I cannot wait to go back! Pros: outdoor seating, wine list, service more

Perfect place to dine with friends or a date 4/23/2006

The neighborhood has been long overdue for such a place. Sleek modern decore feels relaxed and comfortable. Small plates, which are not that small, let you sample two or three dishes for the price of one at most restaurants of comparable quality. Wine list has many options from around the globe and California in the mid-range. Definitely a place to go back to again and again, with friends, a date, or even alone! Pros: Valet parking, Atmosphere, Good-looking crowd Cons: Not open late more

Great addition to the neighborhood! 4/23/2006

They did a wonderful job redesigning this neighborhood space, creating a very stylish interior. Our food was delicious and unique. The community table option is a great vantage point for enjoying the restuarant's ambiance. Service was impeccable, from excellent food recommendations to wine tasting before choosing which glass we'd like to go with. Worth visiting for a special occassion or as a regular neighborhood haunt. Pros: beautiful interior, excellent service, unique entrees more

Wining Recipe 4/17/2006

Ive dined here 4 times now and my experience continuously gets better. As with all new restaurants, there will be service, portion and pricing kinks to work out. Terzo continues to refine its concept, but I always have a great experience. Theres truth to be said in you get what you pay for. There has obviously been meticulous attention to the design, and the portions are perfect for me- not to mention they use some of the finest (which usually means more pricey) ingredients. If I want to leave a restaurant feeling stuffed- Ill go to a steak house. Its a great neighborhood restaurant for us. Score another win for the SF dining community! more

GREAT new place 4/16/2006

Had dinner here on Saturday night with 5 friends. We sat at the fun communal table and felt right in the middle of all the action. The cozy wood burning fire place to one side of us... and the cool vibe of the zinc bar to the other. The food was over the top.... and while some may think the prices are a bit steep, this is not your typical tapas bar.... this is high quality - delicious - well thought out small plates that span the mediteranean. We ordered 3 dishes per person and were completely satisfied. And to top it all off, the wine list is unique with many fine and fun wines. A must see. Pros: Valet, Sidewalk dining, Unique more

Everything and More! 4/16/2006

I live in the neighborhood and was anxiously awaiting this place to open. It's was absolutely worth the wait. I went with a few friends and was a bit nervous about the ""small plates"" but we all left full and satisfied. The food was fantastic! The place was beautiful! I can't wait to go back. Pros: , great vibe, outside seating more

small & pricy plates 4/14/2006

The atmosphere of this venue is casually elegant. The fireplace makes it cozy and inviting. Although, the menu and it's prices are not so inviting. There was a limited variety of meal choices and the offerings were small(-er, -est) plates. The food was delicious but there wasn't enough of it. When we ordered the cheese plate, we were charged extra when we asked for bread to accompany the dish. Other than atmosphere, the Wine menu was the only other highlight. more

A great night in Cow Hollow 4/14/2006

I was immediatley taken by remarkable changes from Pane Vino to the new hotspot called Terzo. As soon as my friends and I walked in the door, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess. She sat us right next to the fireplace, which really added to our great experience. The service was impeccable, as was the food. One of our favorite dishes was the clams, which were sauteed with garlic. My friends and I had so much fun trying all kinds of different pan mediterranean dishes. We also enjoyed a bottle Cotes Derhon, which added to the great food. One of the best nights I've had since I have lived in San Francisco. I can't wait to go back!!!!!! Pros: Great service, Great food, Valet more

Wonderful, but still hungry 4/9/2006

Ambience is great, wide range of seating available (family style, intimate, bar), menu is limited but offers unique and tasty flavors, wine list complements menu well, service was excellent, our server was attentive and knowledgeable but not overbearing. Entire menu is tapas, and it was by far the most expensive tapas I've ever had. Our party of 4 had a bill of just over $200, and we all left hungry. The commenter above mentioned s/he craved a slice of pizza after leaving Terzo; our group actually did grab a slice about an hour later! Great place for drinking wine and snacking or meeting for drinks and appetizers prior to migrating elsewhere for dinner, but would not recommend dinner here. Pros: Ambience, Service, Flavorful menu Cons: Overpriced more

Disappointed (and still hungry) 4/8/2006

Make sure you eat well before attending this restaurant. No bread when you arrive and meagre portions that arn't cheap. The ambience is good and the service adequate, but overall I expected more from this place. Why such small portions? Also for such a non extensive menu, the food is good but its certainly not special. My advice - stick to the tried and trusted Roses accross the street for an all round better experience. Pros: ambience, decor Cons: lack of food more

Great new locals spot..menu needs work 4/3/2006

This cozy restaurant opened last Thursday and we went on Saturday for dinner. The location was great, food was great ambiance was just perfect for an up and coming neighborhood favorite. With that said ....the menu was very limited and the portions were SMALL. We left with a $200 bill and we were still hungry!! The staff was great and I will go again but only for wine and an apps unless they expand the portions and menu. I hate leaving a nice dinner craving a slice of pizza. more
