Stepping Stone School-Round Rock Teravista

I am writing to let others know how very pleased I am with the child care/summer program my daughter; is receiving at Stepping Stone Teravista. \r \r She attends the Engineers class with teacher Michelle, she had an issue with a child being catty with her and feeling bullied in her classroom. It got to a point where she would cry in the mornings. When I found what the problem was I tried to take care of the situation myself by explaining to her how to express herself towards that child without herself being a bully or catty. My daughter did try my suggestions but to no avail. The next step I took was to speak with Michelle about the situation. Michelle allowed me to vent and then was apologetic about what was occurring and sorry that my daughter did not feel secure enough to talk to her. That same afternoon Michelle took the time to have a one on one conversation with my daughter and apologized to her personally. \r \r Within the next two days Michelle put it in her daily curriculum to do workshops with the kids on how to be nice to our friends and respect each other, this allowed my daughter to speak up to others in class about how she felt bullied. This was followed by a meeting that Michelle had with me to give me an update on how the situation was dealt with. I was extremely grateful for her attention to this matter. I am very lucky to have Michelle as one of my daughters teachers. \r \r After the issue had been resolved my daughter looks forward to attending everyday even more because of the junior aid and the summer field trips. I'm very happy that my concerns were taken seriously and the issue with taken care of in a timely manner. This complete situation reminded me why I recommend Stepping Stone to my friends and family. \r \r In addition, my boyfriend would note how professional the staffs were and how happy kids were when he would pick up my daughter and how involved the school is into education. He enrolled his son for the summer program during the weeks he has custody of him. We both agree that Stepping Stone School at Teravista allows us to have peace at mind while we are at work, which is priceless. \r \r Also want to acknowledge Alysa, a previous director at this location who also helped in a BIG way, she made sure her school did not tolerate any kind of bullying and I really appreciate her kindness. \r \r Thank you very much for all the hard work that the staff at Stepping Stone School Teravista do.\r \r -Sarah more

If you are looking for wonderful teachers be on the lookout for Ms. Kayla in the 2s and Ms. Terry and Ms. Marnie in the 4s. They are truly caring people and dedicated teachers. They give their love to our kids and make us feel right at home during drop offs and pick ups. The administration is very nice as well! We've been very happy with Stepping Stones 16! more

In the interests of confidentiality I do not wish to reveal much about my child; however, I feel the need to let everyone know what an amazing experience he has had in the past year with Ms. Charity. First, the fact that my child has been with her for so long, day in and day out speaks to her level of commitment and my child's stability. Secondly, no sooner had she taken over the class than she had it appropriately under control, and believe me I know what that looks like! Most importantly, my child has some issues that have no doubt made her job more difficult, but what I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt is that: 1) she loves him-- from the bottom of her heart, 2) she protects and cares for him like a mother would--100 % faithful, and 3) she has never tried to bend him to suit her, but rather bends herself to help him, which is amazing. We have been blessed to have her as his teacher, and I hope his luck will somehow continue after he leaves her class. When I think of her as a teacher, I think of diamonds--dazzling, and forever. Forever because that is how long I will appreciate this year of her life she has given my son. Teachers are more important and make more of a difference--positive or negative--in the life of a child than they sometimes realize. This is one teacher who has that all figured out and then some. And her directors were smart enough to choose her in the first place! more

My child has been going to Stepping Stone since the age of 2. He is now in the second grade. I can not begin to tell you everything that Stepping Stone has taught him through the years. When I have my parent teacher conf. they are amazed at how well my child can read and understand the context he is reading. He reads a year above his grade level. My child also has developed in writing and math. I owe it to Stepping Stone and there stong focus of getting a child prepared for thier future. The staff there is wonderful! The staff knows your name and always says hi with a big smile on their face. If you are looking for a place with loyalty and integrity then this is it. Their pre-k program is the best in town. I will continue to keep my son there for as long as I can. more

We have two children in Stepping Stone, one a newborn. The staff goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed in leaving your children in their hands. My 3 year old has advanced through three class rooms and all of the teachers have been outstanding!! I have and will continue to rant and rave about the care my children recieve at Stepping Stone! more

My son has attended Stepping Stone #16 for a year and a half and I am more than pleased by the care he has received. In the Astronauts class, under Ms. Charity, my son has advanced more than his entire time in daycare. She goes above and beyond to help each child grow individually. She is commited to education and devoted to values that will stay with the children for a lifetime. I completely trust her as I would any other family member. more

Both of our children attend Stepping Stone 16 and I wouldn't have them anywhere else. Mrs. Alyssa and Mr. Tyson are amazing, caring individuals who know their stuff when it comes to taking care of my children. Not only do they greet you at the door everytime you enter, but they keep you constantly informed of any pertinent issues in your child's day. They know every parent and child by name which creates a family atmosphere for everyone. more

I am a person who takes making recommendations to other parents about their children?s care and education very seriously. I do not make such recommendations lightly. That said, I feel absolutely confident that Stepping Stone 16 is a top notch preschool, and I am more than happy to endorse the school and give their program a big thumbs up! My 4-year-old son could not be in better hands. The administration staff headed by Ms. Alyssa and Mr. Tyson is professional, caring, and friendly. Moreover, the teaching staff is absolutely wonderful. All of the teachers are great, but my son?s teacher, Ms. Elizabeth, is truly phenomenal. Always the consummate teacher, she tailors lesson plans and teaching methods to the needs of each child. She truly cares about all the children in her class and does whatever it takes to maximize the potential of each and every one of her students. I feel so fortunate that my son is in her class and is a part of the Stepping Stone Teravista family. more

We joined the Stepping Stone Teravista family a year and a half ago after having some bad experiences with our previous daycare. We looked at many, many daycares in Austin and Round Rock, and I instantly felt at home when we visited this Stepping Stone. Ms. Alysa and Mr. Tyson are fantastic leaders who know all of the children and parents personally, and I believe they are the reason this school is such a wonderful place for our kids. When we had our daughter this year, I was nervous about starting her in the baby room..since my son was already a toddler when we came to Stepping Stone. I have been nothing but thrilled with the Molecules teachers- Ms. Catherine, Ms. Wendy, Ms. Jeanette, and Ms. Tygee are amazing, and our daughter loves them. All of my fears about leaving her quickly disappeared. To say my son loves his teacher would be an understatement. Ms. Elesha is so dear to our family, and admittedly, we will be sad when our son changes classes because we adore Ms. Elisha. All of the teachers at Stepping Stone Teravista that we have worked with are patient, loving, and very calm under pressure. We feel very lucky to have found this school, and we definitely had some past experiences that made us picky! more

Stepping Stone School 16 has an outstanding director, Ms. Alysa Reid (Family Service/ ECE Specialist). Parents can feel safe about enrolling their children in Stepping Stone School 16 to receive quality educational activities, as well as healthy snacks and meals from good teachers. For starters, my daughter's teacher, in Ecologists is one of the best teachers we have had. She is not just there to play with the kids and keep them entertained, she wants them to learn and plans fun, educational lessons. This school stays up to date on curriculum and new tools to engage children. This isn't just a daycare, it's almost museum like throughout the facility. The staff is always friendly and willing to talk with you about your child. As I said this isn't just a daycare it's a place to learn and grow and I feel confident about my child's care while I work. My son's teacher, Ms. Elizabeth, in the Ecologist classroom is definitely the best teacher we have ever had. She obviously loves her job and the children in her class. My son enjoys school and has learned so much since moving into her classroom. It is very reassuring knowing that she is there with my son while I am working. more

I enrolled my kids at Stepping Stone Tera Vista 6 months ago and it has been a great experience. It was my 3 year old daughter's first experience in a school/daycare type environment and she loves it. Ms. Elizabeth is completely priceless. She is so warm, caring and patient with the kids. When my daughter started at the school she could sing her ABC's but did not recognize any numbers or letters. 6 months later, she can write all her letters and some of her numbers and can spell her own name. She is learning so much each day and she loves it there and most of that is attributed to skill and attention of her teacher, Ms. Elizabeth. The directors of the school are in touch with each and everyone of the kids and their families and show special attention to individual circumstance which is incredibly unique and refreshing. The experience has been invaluable for my children, and I would recommend the school to anyone in the area. more

I was very nervous about going back to work and bringing my 3 mon old son Aiden to daycare. It was very difficult for me. On my first day in the molecules room, i immediately felt very comfortable because the teachers were very welcoming and very nurturing. I must say Ms. Anna Buntay, Ms. Huy and Ms. Monica are truly special. I have been able to interact with them on a daily basis because i drop in to see my son almost every day for lunch and have watched them interact with all the other children. They are excellent, very caring, clean, and i feel very comfortable and fortunate to have such a great team. My son even recognizes them and gets very excited when he sees them. I would like to thank them for the excellent care they give my son and the love they show him. Thanks Ms. Anna for the cute pictures you send us, they sure make us share the special moments our son experiences and allow us to have memories. The school is topped of by great leadership, Ms. Allysa and Mr. Tyson who make us feel very welcomed and part of family when we walk in the door. Like many Moms, it was very difficult for me to leave my 4 month-old daughter with strangers. Many of my coworkers kept referring me to Stepping Stone School @ TerraVista for child care. I did my research and compared different child care facilities and Stepping Stone Schools. I graded each facility according to the environment, curriculum, staff, and interactions between kids and teachers. TerraVista Stepping Stone was by far the best because of their teachers and environment that encourage growth and development. We are blessed to have Ms. Anna, Ms. Monica, and Ms. Huy as my daughters teachers. They are all very caring and attentive to her needs ( and my own too). They are very good at keeping me informed regarding my daughters well-being as well as little moments I miss while at work. It's such a treat to receive occasional pictures of my daughter in the middle of my day. I love seeing my daughter playful, happy, and clean when I pick her up. I am blessed to have found a daycare in which I know my son is loved. His current teacher, Miss Melissa, is just amazing. We are lucky to have her! He has had other wonderful teacher over the past year and a half he has attended Stepping Stone Teravista. I have always hated to see him leave their classes, but each new teacher is just as loving and we love her just as much as the previous teacher. He has learned so much in just the past year and a half and he loves to go to school! This says a lot about the school when a 2.5 year wants to attend school. The current director, Miss Alysa, is also a blessing. She is warm and inviting the moment you walk through the door. I wanted to write and leave a review for the wonderful teachers my children have at SS. Ms. Whitney has been so wonderful to the kids, my son comes home enthused and calm. Both hard feats for a 3 yr old and my 6 mos old daughter is really thriving in her infant classroom. All of the teachers have been wonderful and I'd like to give a special thanks to Ms. Anna (Marie Bantay) she has made a home away from home for my daughter and now my husband and I don't have to worry. more

My daughter started daycare on July in the Molecule room. I was going back to work in August and I wanted to ""practice"" leaving her for a little while during the day, instead of just going cold turkey for a whole day. I need to admit that I was really nervous that first day but the teachers were great!, they immediately took my daughter and did a very detailed explanation of what the daily routine was. Now I'm back at work and she is doing really well and my mind is focus at work because I know that Anna, Monica and Hui are loving and caring teachers. My daughter, Amanda, just started daycare this week in the infant room. I could not be more pleased! It was a very difficult transition to start work again and leave her with someone else. All of the instructors, Anna, Monica & Hui have been extremely kind, loving and understanding! Anna sent us pix of Amanda's 1st day at school and seeing her laughing, napping and playing with the other kids really set my mind at ease! Both my children love going to school each morning. The teachers in the infant room are wonderful and loving! The teachers in the 2-3 year old room are great with my eldest child. I know I'm leaving my girls in great care. The staff is excellent as well and very responsive to any questions or concerns we ever have. Pros: Loving teachers, excellent staff more
